I didn't think I could live with them.
Turns out, I can't live without them.

Rock - the one who takes care of me.

Oscar - the one who makes me feel seen.

And Neo - the one who lights my soul on fire.

They made me see who I really am.

Now I may have lost them forever.

*This is the conclusion of the Aventine University series featuring Neo, Oscar, Rock, and Willa. It contains dark themes that may be uncomfortable for some readers. Please read the CW at the front of the book.*

Not what I was expecting…

After reading the entire trilogy…First I will say all books and readers see from different perspectives so I will go with the good first…

Lots of spice! Like super spicey heat
Great cliffhangers between books that made you want more.
So happy to see multiple POVS!

For spoilers don’t read further down

I definitely didn’t see this as a bully romance at all and you barely even realized they were step siblings since it came up just a few times. 2 out of the 3 men were all in with her from the start. I kept waiting for it to be fake affection, but it wasn’t. Lots of filler in these books that didn’t seem necessary. These books dragged a bit to where I found myself skimming some chapters. I wanted more. There were characters developed that I thought were leading somewhere, that there was going to be a crazy twist to the story. Something unexpected. The ending seemed super rushed to a conclusion that wasn’t super satisfying. I wanted more in the epilogue. Was Emma found? The other girls? What happened to all the alum that had been part of the ring of missing girls and what exactly was the reason why they even did what they did? Why the heck did Mara even come into play in the end it seemed so random. I was left with so many questions unanswered.

series review:

first of all... who greenlit using "af" and "wtf" and "stfu" AND "gtfo" like what??? it was used as FMC inner monologue and "af" was said out loud by an mmc too. it was almost as if the author typed them as placeholders and then just didn't go back and fully type out the words... who okay'd this?

the spice was fine, the plot was not. it was just. anticlimactic all way through.
i had rated the first two at 3 ⭐ and once I was done with this one, i sighed and went back and put them to 1 ⭐ just like this one. the last like 25% of this book was me just scrolling to find something worth reading.

How is Neo her "twin flame"? can someone explain that because it's laughable.

the entire series was just empty and I'm really just...sigh

Abrupt ending

There were tons of questions unanswered in this series. The anticlimactic ending of this book made me wish I hadn't continued the series after the first book. I had just been hoping it would pick up and get better. There was too much left hanging and it was a waste of time. The typos and serious edit issues continue from the first book through the third. I've always thought good secondary characters can help a story along. In this series you get bits and pieces of secondary characters but then they just drop off. Really not worth the time to read which is a shame because the premise was so good.

Third book concluding Willa and the Kings story.
This book was fantastic, hot and steamy, plenty of intrigue and mystery.
Willa is investigating the disappearance of her sister and other girls from Aventine.
The Kings are helping her and suspect Neo's father and other prominent mafia families are involved. They set out to find and reveal the truth.
Looking forward to reading about Daisy's story.
I also hope in the future Mara, Claire, Erin and Quinn get their own stories too.

So much cringy dialogue throughout this whole series so here we go again….

Points off for ⬇️

The phrase “big dick energy”
The phrase “my pu*sy throbbed”
The phrase “gargantuan d*ck”
The phrase “her pus*y opened like a cave of secrets”
The phrase “her channel”

What an odd ending… the Valentine’s Day scene which was entirely too long btw, had more chapters than that last scene in the woods. Like where did all the other men go? It didn’t make any sense. It was so uneventful after all this buildup. If I’m being honest I think overall this series wasn’t the best. RH is my favorite & I’ve read so many amazing series but this one fell short IMO, with an annoying FMC & a bunch of cringy moments. I did like the guys but I also felt a disconnect in the relationship as a whole, especially in the end with the proposals. How do they not discuss that between them?!

Side note: This was barely a step sibling romance, the bullying happened with just one guy & there was major insta love from the jump.

Another side note: her totally obnoxious friend Mara, we aren’t gonna talk about how she popped up for 2.5 seconds & was never talked about again? No? Okay cool 🙄

Perfect ending

All I have to say is perfect ending to this series. Willa and her guys still looking to find out what happened to the girls going missing and Willa's sister Emma. Loved watching the guys grow especially Neo. Also extremely intrigued to learn about Daisy's story. A little bit confused on Mara but that's okay. Loved this book.

an epic conclusion

Danger, gun fights, arson, sex clubs… I mean, what else could Ms Hunt throw at us in this final book? All in all this series was a fun ride, plenty of mystery, and some seriously hot spicy scenes.

I came to this series after reading Ms Hunt’s Blackwell Beasts trilogy, so some plot points had already been (slightly) spoiled, but there were still plenty of surprises in store. I would say the story gap between the last chapter and the epilogue felt significant. I would’ve liked to see some loose ends tied up, but in the grand scheme of things it’s not that big of a deal.

I can’t say it was a masterpiece. I struggled with Willa’s inner dialogue some of the choices were just cringey - for example when she would refer to something as AF.

This also felt longer than it needed to be…we have the bit in book 2 with her mom that does nothing and it goes no where. Then in this one we have the high tension of her best friend Mar but then after the club there is no resolution….unless it is in the next book which technically isn’t supposed to be about the Kings.

This definitely added more of the romance element to the spice.

What an ending… perfect balance between plot and smut. The whole series was very good. A reverse harem with mafia families… loved every minute and devoured every letter.

3.5 stars rounded down

Spoilers after the first (next) main paragraph.

This book had plenty of sex and possessive tendencies with some danger on the side but didn't wrap up the story very well. It was really more about the bedroom appeal than anything else for most of the book. And then a forced quick wrap up of sorts at the end. And seriously, not even a good wrap up.

We know she's in danger. And that she keeps digging. And the Kings all hide info until they all figure out Neo's dad was involved. Ultimately they realized that every crime family had at least one person involved.

So the end of the entire storyline is wrapped up in like 15% of the book. But it leaves too many questions but not enough answers.

The gist: Neo's dad appears to be the ringleader and wants to take her down. He finally gets her at the very end of the book and has her running through the woods in a game of cat and mouse. But each house in the woods, represented by each crime family, has people involved in the game.

So the dad gets her and is planning on killing her of course after having some "fun" of some sort. Then the King show up and the dad doesn't think his own son would kill him. Clearly he was wrong. Neo killed his dad point blank.

Then the place is swarming with law enforcement agents. And everyone's getting arrested, but no one knows anything about the arrests because the story is around the Kings and her and what just happened.

It just felt like there were a bunch of gaps.

Then they go to the hospital for recovering and she's there for a couple days because of the damage to her body from running around in practically no clothes in the snow. The kings are all there of course, and are not letting her out of their sight. Neo then pops the question of marriage. It would have been great had it stopped there. But the other two had to propose to with their own rings. It seemed a bit much.

There was a bonus epilogue if you signed up for a newsletter. Naturally I did. And in there, the author tries to wrap up some more things. Such as her relationship with Mara. It of course is on the mend now that the danger is gone and the parents are in jail awaiting trial. And really, Alexa shouldn't have died. What happened to all the students who disobeyed what the Kings said? No one else came forward. Again, crappy closure to the story.

Her relationship with her mom is still in the garbage. Because clearly her mom is an idiot who doesn't believe her husband would kill her own child and go after the other one. Seriously, there's no hope for her. We also get a pregnancy in the bonus epilogue and an introduction to the next book by way of another missing person. Dun dun dun.

The next book series has the girl who helped them with the rundown house in this book. However, it seems like it's going to be more of a repeat to this book. Another reverse harem, why choose, book series. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the multiple lover aspect, but you got to mix it up a bit.

So while I enjoyed the story overall, I definitely did not respect the ending / wrap up and I am disappointed that the next part / continuation, if you will, is going to be more of the same.

Wow!! What a great ending to this series.

Starting off on a massive cliff hanger with the ending of book 2 was heart wrenching. I was so nervous by Willa, Rock, Neo and Oscar all survive. Rock being in the worst shape with a broken arm, concussion and a possible brain injury. Willa and the guys realize shortly that they are sitting ducks in the hospital and it’s only a matter of time before Roberto tried to kill them again. They barely make it out of the hospital alive with a third assignation attempt.

The guys ask for help from Daisy and hide out in Blackwell Falls. Lots of healing, sex and investigation happens to figure out who else is involved in the kidnapping and killing of Emma and the other girls from town. They know Neo’s dad is but he had to have help. The also know that the cabins in the woods have something to do with it.

Valentine’s Day happens and the boys decide to treat Willa to an amazing dinner and getaway. They have a fabulous time with lots of champagne and orgasms. Willa shows the boys her very meaningful gift. She gets a tattoo for each of the guys. A camera on the back of her neck for Oscar. A chefs hat on the inside of her wrist for Rock. Finally a pair of boxing gloves on her chest, close to her heart, for Neo.

After some time in hiding they finally decide to go back to there house and hire security to help watch the house and Willa. When the fourth game is called amongst the house everyone is totally on edge. You are given a choice. Choose loyalty to your family or choose honor amongst your classmates. Neo tells the other houses about the missing girls and how Roberto is involved and they need information on how the other houses/families are involved too. Alexa from the queens house comes clean and gives them a list of names of who is probably involved in the killings/disappearances. Alexa ends up being killed shortly after.

Everything comes to ahead when Willa and the guys attend a masquerade party at a sex club in town. A fire breaks out and Willa is separated from her Kings and kidnapped. She wakes up at one of the cabins in the wood to none other than Roberto and 3 other men. Roberto confesses to killing her sister Emma and all those other girls with the help of other Alumni from the other houses. Roberto makes Willa run so he can chase her. Roberto catches her in the woods but the boys find her just in time and Neo ends up killing his dad.

While in the hospital recovering from frostbite and dehydration Neo proposes to Willa. Rock and Oscar do too. She accepts because she is madly in love with all 3 of them.

Don’t forget to read the extended epilogue which gives you insight into their lives a couple months down the road and some future plans for the Kings and Willa.

Overall I thought the book and series was great. I love a great Reverse Harem with a little mystery. The smut was great and man did I have to cool myself down a couple times 🔥🔥🔥.

This is the review for the whole series.

Book one was great. I really enjoyed the story, the characters and the world. Willa wasn't some damsel and he didn't just fall into bed with he guys. I couldn't wait to get to book 2.

Book 2 went down hill fast. It felt like a ya but with sex. Even the sex scenes weren't enough to keep me engaged. Willa lost her back bone and started thinking with her vageen. I absolutely loath that. Very annoying.

Book 3 was much the same as Book 2. Most of the book was the 4 of them together just doing nothing. Not much happened. Same high school feel. And I hate when the fmc "almost" gets stuff done to her. I do not live for the close calls. I want the violence, I want the heart break.

I would give the overall series ⭐️⭐️

Overall the series was great. I enjoyed the mystery and the spice. I would not call this a bully romance. This last book in particular I gave only 4 stars because I was left with a few unanswered questions, it seems like the ending was a bit rushed. I was hoping for a surprise twist but it was a pretty straight forward ending from the picture they were painting. It seemed like they kept building up to a surprise pregnancy (don’t get me wrong, I’m glad they didn’t I can’t stand that) but, now it seems like all the mentions of that were for nothing. I’d give ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ to the overall series 🥰

Great series. My only complaint is that it ended suddenly and the epilogue was just a few days after the story ended. It would be nice to see their relationship build a bit more. It is one of my biggest pet peeves when a story ends immediately after characters say I love you. I’ve waited 3 books to see it play out some but then it’s wham bam I love you done.

The mystery was intriguing enough to read past the errors

The mystery was interesting and despite a solid page turning concept, the writing is only fair due to an unlikable female lead, plot errors, and typographical errors. My opinion from the first book in which I really could not like Willa remained unchanged until about a quarter of the way through the last book. I never really bought into her character because I didn't like the type of female she was portrayed as, namely because I really hate when females go on and on about how badly they hate a man and how they dislike being treated like garbage but then they just can't help sleeping with the guy who treats them like trash because he's just so hot. I have no problem with women taking control of their sexuality, enjoying sex and having multiple partners, I just wished authors didn't make them look like desperate shallow slags when they did it. I mean, write ladies who have some self-control and some self-respect, have some depth of character so that takes more than just a pretty face to fall into bed with a guy, and we don't have to keep reading "I can't help it, he's so hot," every 4th page. Better yet right female leads with the capability to do what they say and say what they mean NOT say one thing and do another. I mean really, grow up get some depth and let something lead the female characters beside their vaginas-- try a brain cell or two.

Beyond not really liking the female lead until the very last book, there are several plot errors in the series, which always drives me nuts.
#1- In this book it said Rafe's three man security team was killed during the home invasion, but in the previous book (pg 341, I think) it clearly said the three man security team had been found tased and restrained, NOT shot and killed.

#2- In the previous book Neo and Oscar were driving the Hummer when they were attacked as soon as they got back to the mainland from the island, yet in this book they were immediately driving the Hummer again as if it wasn't involved in that attempted assassination scenario when I thought both vehicles were run off the road.

#3- In the previous book, Kings & Chaos, the author says the girl was 8 years old during the critical scene in which she lets Neo out of the closet, but the second book in this book and made a point of saying she's only 20 and the characters continually refer in all of the books to the event as being 15 years before, so Willa could have only been five years old.

And those are just the ones I can remember off the top of my head. Besides those plot errors - which to me are grave sin - there were still typographical and punctuation errors that were missed in editing as well. So, the series could certainly use better content as well as copy editing. I have to say the trope was put to good use and I suspected it was human trafficking but what it ended up being was clearly alluded to. I did think the ending was a bit abrupt and I wished we've gotten a better picture of the moving forward like what happened between Willa and Mara.

This book left me with a lot of questions. This review will include thoughts not just about this book, but the whole series, as well.

Editing-wise, this was good. There were a couple moments where I thought something was wrong enough to pull me out of the story, but it was actually right. So Good Job!
The story, though, left me questioning too many things.

The story slowed waayyyy down, then at the end all of a sudden was over. There wasn't much build up after going back home, so it was just a sit and wait while everyone has lots of sex. Taking the slow parts into consideration, the story could have been in 2 longer books, rather than 3.

Mara has always felt like a throw-away character, and she still is! Throughout the whole thing, she has not really had a purpose. Plus, it made no sense for her to just show up at the end, unless she happened to be in on everything, and it doesn't look like she was.
Next, what happened to everyone else? Did they round up everyone in the forest and arrest everybody? What was the aftermath there? The book just leaves you hanging, really.

In this, the third book, the guys were all just falling over themselves to give her anything she wants. This is such a huge departure from the beginning. It didn't really fit in that everything is suddenly all lovey-dovey.
I prefer more emotional depth with my characters. I want to feel their emotions with them, not just being told how they are feeling. I want the heartache, the anguish, the devastation. This series just has a young feeling to it that won't give me that. There were many instances where that could have happened or been build upon, but it didn't. Just glossed over to the next chapter.

Overall, I would recommend this to others, but to a younger audience or someone who wants a lighter read. I probably will not read them again, though.

Okay so I think this might have been my favorite book?
I was worried that it would all get repetitive and although it did slightly - I never felt bored enough to not want to continue.

With how the previous book ended I honestly dove head first into this book and although I obviously knew the guys would be okay, I still had that pit in the bottom of my stomach.

This book let people show their true colors.
From Alexa and the dean's widow to Willa's mom, when everyones cards were on the table it was clear that people were playing very different games for very different reasons.

The character of Mara honestly just confused me?
What was the purpose of her character? the entire time she was just someone Willa would update briefly and then her appearance in this final book made no sense to me?
Her existence didn't actually add to the story at all?

I do honestly feel like I could have been given a little more in the end.
Like what does life look like for them when they aren't running for their lives?
What happens to Roberto's fortune / seat in the throne now?
Does anyone ever put Willa's mom in her place for not only never protecting her but for actively putting her in danger and not believing her when she tried to warn her?

I've a lot of questions and I don't want to have to walk away from these characters.

I'd honestly also like a little more clarify of what they uncovered in the end.
Like obviously the girls were put through what Willa experienced - but to what end?
How had it started? Where did it start? etc.

Okay

This will contain spoilers

Good: I liked Willa much more in this book than the last two. She still had moments i really didn't like her, but for the most part, she was much better. The story was more intriguing and entertaining. It didn't drag.

Bad: It's not very realistic. No one would be up and running the day after getting shot in the chest ( just not going to happen). The part with Oscar buying Rock a dress to wear in public "to hide his cast" so he wouldn't draw attention????? What? In what world would a cast on a man's arm draw more attention than a large muscled blond guy in a dress. It made no sense. I know the author was trying to bring some humor to the story, but it just made me mad because the reasoning made no sense. It was things like this that kept this book from being a 4 star.

The only other thing is I loved Neo, and I like a good why choose book, but Oscar and Rock didn't measure up to Neo. It was the first time I have read a why choose book and wished the other 2 guys weren't there. Not that I didn't like Oscar and Rock they were total sweet hearts, but they just fell short of Neo's specialness. There was a connection that Neo and Willa had that for me didn't resonate as deeply as with the other two. That may just be my opinion, but I may have like this book more if it was just about Willa and Neo.

Everything I Wanted & So Much More

Everything!!! Absolutely everything!!! This word means so much in this book and it truly is the definition of this story. This book has everything you want and sooooo much more!

What an incredible ending! That epilogue squeezed my heart and made me swoon soooo hard! Willa, Neo, Rock and Oscar are perfection. The way they worship her. The way she cares for them in her own way, is heart wrenching and fun. I needed so many things answered and I got everything I needed resolved.

The last book left my heart shattered. I needed the happiness. I needed the steaminess and I needed the absolute love fest from each and everyone of them. And let me tell you, you get that and so many gut wrenching moments you won’t want to put this book down. I was on the edge of my seat the entire book.

Sadie Hunt’s writing is incredible. She has you questioning everything one minute. Your heart in a blender on high pulse desperately trying to not feel shredded the next minute. Then panting and swooning so hard you can’t read fast enough. There were times I didn’t know where this story was gonna go. If we would get to the end happy or if we were gonna get another book. But I promise it is everything you want and I mean EVERYTHING and more!

I have so much to say about this book…this series in general. It is a generic run of the mill story that I’ve read many different ways. Girl wants to find out what happened to her sister so she goes to the college she attended. She falls for 3 guys who she hated at first, they fall in love, a bunch of stuff happens, then they solve the case. If you’ve read one you have read them all.

The amount of typos drove me crazy. Neo said Daisy left the Mercedes for them at a grocery store then Willa said they found it on a mountain. They were in one room then all a sudden it was a different one. There were more but I forget.

What happened to Enzo? That story just ended and he was never mentioned again.
No reunification scene with her mom after proving everything she told her was true???
What happened to Mara after the fire??? Certainly there should have been more to that story and their friendship fixed. Nope. Mara was her “best friend” what was the point of her coming to the party if there was nothing to come from it. That made absolutely no sense.

I know there is a spin off series that could potentially answer all my questions but shouldn’t they have been addressed in this series?

Hopefully the author takes more time to complete her books because this series was rough.

I read Sadie’s series out of order, I don’t recommend it if you plan on reading all of them. Definitely start with Aventine University series, then the Blackwell Beasts and third the Blackwell Bastards. While each series is a stand alone, you’re introduced to characters and small tidbits along the way.

You definitely need to like a reverse haram trope to like any of these series by Sadie. Not an issue for me😳

There were times when I was reading this series I had some very random thoughts…starting with how does Willa not get a yeast infection…or screw up their names…also she eats a lot but there is never a mention of her going to the gym, although with the amount of sex she has maybe she doesn’t need a gym!

I loved her Valentines gifts to the guys, so thoughtful and in some twisted way, the guys probably felt it was like she branded herself for them.

The book had a ton of spice, actually the series did! If you want extra spicy, then definitely check out this series.

I felt like the ending was rushed…Mara showed up with 0 explanation to Willa ahead of time. Her reasoning for being in Blackwell Falls was random and weak. And then no more mention of her.

I enjoyed this series, I felt like the books just got better and better after reading all 3

When enemies become your all.

I absolutely loved this series. Even tho the book was like 350 long it still felt rushed at the end. And to be honest. I think the author should of only chose Neo (only cause it was already hinted and hebwas 1st.) To marry her and the rest do a commitment ceremony. Neo might of been an ass but to me I think he truly did love her 1st and harder even if we got the others love felt burned for her. I love all three of the guys but Neo was my fav and that's probably cause I like the possessive protective wild throw me around the bedroom slap my backside type of guy and not apologetic about wanting to protect you or punish you lol. The others were perfect for taking care of her. The really did love her. Showed it to her every day. And I love Willa shebwas strong. She gave it ger all even to her Neo who kept pushing her away. There definelty should of been hot scenes with willa and Neo tho This all my opinion of course. But what is is that this book was fantastic. Should if had a extended epilog tho.

This is a really excellent series, brilliant from start to finish. Sadie had my heart racing, my body hot and bothered and my adrenaline pumping. Great character development as the Kings fight for their lives, protect and worship Willa all at the same time. Willa has come into her own, trusting, loving and caring for the Kings. While surviving, evading enemies and digging for answers, Willa and the Kings have become a force to be reckoned with.

These characters are bold, fearless, loyal and they love hard. Boy do they love hard and the Kings can’t get enough of Willa and they constantly have her melting into a puddle, it’s wickedly carnal but they were made for each other.

On their mission to exact revenge and serve up some justice, Willa is determined to get answers and the Kings will destroy anyone who tries to harm her.

A fitting end to this series and I’m now attached to these messy, unpredictable but perfectly flawed characters. I want more of them but once again, brilliantly written series Sadie and I can’t wait for what’s next!

Good storyline & super spicy but eh

Okay so I had to force myself to finish the series and even then I started skimming a bunch. If you’re looking for lots of dirty, spicy scenes then you’ll love it. It was practically 70% spice. But otherwise I kept getting so frustrated by the constant errors with the timeline of things or mixing up of names/groups etc. For example - a big thing to be revealed in book 2 was her repressed memory of helping Neo. Given the guys kept saying they’d loved her for 15 years the math would have made her 5, which makes sense to be young enough to forget. Then she goes and says she was 8 and that doesn’t fit. Similar little things like that but when they add up it gets annoying.

I’ve also read a lot of mafia books and besides Neo the other characters were unrealistic for it. I made myself finish because I wanted to see how the author would wrap things up and still it was just eh. I was hoping for something more surprising I guess but either way not the worst I’ve read but not a favorite either.

Loved it.

Sadie always takes us on a wild ride. Heart wrenching and beautiful. A good cry in the night.

As the third installment of the Kings trilogy, it opens with Will a waking up after a car accident and shooting. Neo is fighting guards to get to her. He and Oscar had been shot, as well. Rock was still unconscious, still, and a broken arm.

The three waited in Rock's room for him to awaken. Once awake, the four made their escape from the hospital with men chasing them all the way.

Laying low, they rest from their injuries, planning their next steps. They made preparations, grew closer, and made contact with those who could assist them. Then, they returned to their fortress. Then returned to school.

As they continue to dig into the missing girls, they discover that all the factions are involved. Now, they just have to discover who within each faction.

The Kings and Willa's relationship builds and grows. Will they withstand the coming war to stop the kidnapping and killing of innocent women?
