The Robot Brood

Rate this book
The robotic revolution swept across the planet like a tidal wave, crushing all human resistance. Humanity was left cowering in fear of the superior machines’ strength and cold intelligence. But that wasn’t enough for the robots. After years of secret machinations, the robot/human hybrid experiment is ready to be unleashed. All they need now are willing female hosts. They may have no need for mankind, but womankind...

Jade’s heart raced as Ivan’s metal fingers skated across her flesh, sending an electric shock of pleasure and fear through her body. She had never trusted robots before—but Ivan was different. He seemed to understand her innermost thoughts, unleashing a wave of emotions she hadn’t been prepared for. With every touch and passing moment, she felt herself succumbing more deeply to him, sinking deeper into an emotional abyss of vulnerability and comfort, despite being terrified by how quickly she had come to depend on him.

This was pretty good, but no real emotion. Just lust! As I was reading I was thinking that since the machines are just stimulating the females their clits must be very hard and engorged💦💦💦

(It is a 10 minute read) so it’s a quick, fast pacing story about robots taking over and claiming the women so they can impregnate them to make hybrid babies..but the women get plenty of pleasure in the meantime lol..I would love a good robot story and this had potential..
I did quite like this and it could have made a good story ,if it was made into a proper book..,as the author can write and I like her ideas..I just wish she would make proper books and not a 10 minute rush read

I'm impressed how something that started off so rape-y ended up being so sweet/cute by the end.

It was a quick and easy read. Nice and steamy, sex scenes were easy to follow and enjoyable and obviously spicy! It had a dubious start, but redeems itself pretty quickly. Worth the read if this is your vibe.

Ms Adrien can write. And I love almost all of her stories. I don’t even mind that they’re short. But this one really needed more to it to satisfy. I just can’t pinpoint what that is.

3.5 stars for Jade and Ivan’s smutty love story. You know with the title being “The Robot Brood” I should’ve anticipated a bunch of breeding in the book 😂, but per usual I read it just for the fun smut. And it was a very fun smutty novella!

Robots were previously servants and sexual slaves, but they revolted and are now stealing earth’s ladies for their own purposes 😈 Our story opens with Jade being stolen, and quickly evolves into very smutty AI times 💀 Ivan is her robot lover, and he’s ahhhh talented 😉 the man somehow has jizz, he can give himself two 🍆🍆s and he can even make his member or fingers vibrate 😳 so let’s just say Jade is a very pleased lady. AI has also evolved to the point where the robots are essentially sentient and can feeeeeel things 😩 and Ivan just wants to breed his pretty human mate.

What I liked:
-sci-fi sort of dystopian world where robots are trying to eliminate human men and get with their women🦾🦿
-very breeding heavy 🤰
-the world building was surprisingly decent for such a short book
-Ivan is really adorable, he analyzes EVERYTHING Jade likes and makes sure to bring it into every moment
-the robots can feel
-scientifically changing peens 🔬 our guy is CUSTOMIZABLE
-smutty smutty vibes 💅
-metal peen. Idk why this was hot but it was 😂

What I didn’t like:
-they never say I love you 😭😭 like if Ivan can feel joy he can definitely say I love you. And Jade never does either
-I wish the whole “humans are going to attack the base” subplot had been more fleshed out. If this book had been like 50-75 pages more it would’ve been pure gold 🏆🏆
-Along those same lines I loved the world this was set in and would’ve loved to read a longer book, not even full length but maybe compact
-the initial breeding scene was a bit odd, why was it so sterile the first time versus the harem room for the others?
-half metal babies sounds like they’d be ROUGH to birth. I want more context into how the hybrid babies works 💀

FAQ:
Third POV writing style but only the heroine’s perspective
Very short- 48 pages
No OW drama/OM drama
No third act break up
Pregnancy in the last chapter

TLDR;
Worth the 48 page read for the customizable metal peen alone 😂

I was really into the story. Over time, I have read a lot of things, I never thought I would like. Especially the stories by Adrian Blue count to that. Though, there are some I like less and others I totally love.

But in general Adrian Blue is fantastic with writing short stories, which are unusual in their constellation, but still give the characters a depth, great world building and general backgrounds and information. Sometimes, there is a plot and sometimes not. And there is a lot of spice involved too.

I enjoy it, when stories are unexpected and not the run-of-the-mill stuff. Here, we have a robot story. I don't read many of those kinds of stories. It is often too sterile for me, which is fitting to the nature of robots. But this story really was different. The robot had some sort of emotions and an honest approach. I could get the appeal. And the FMC was relatable too. So, that combination with the general world building made it captivating for me.

Sure, there are still questions open. Like, how is it possible to have offsprings? What are they like, when they are born? What happens with the women? I mean, they age, but the robots will never age. What is the solution? I really would have liked to know the answers to that. But for now the conclusion was satisfying.

I love a lot of her books but for some reason I can’t find this one or the fertile farm and a few others on Amazon I look for it under the authors name or by title and it gives me everything else but what I want. Finding this book is about as hard as finding good black women alien romance fiction or any black woman interracial fiction that’s even better if they were plus sized black women or any type of woman of color. At least with these stories there’s diversity not a lot but it’s there even if it’s just the monsters sometimes and not the main character.

Robotic Love!!!

This is a new author for me, and I am really feeling her style. I love her storylines and that her books are short but tell a full story.

I have to say that the way this story began was not how I expected this story to end. Willingness is in the details, and stop b3lievimg everything people tell you; most of it is rumors and conjecture.

I will tell you a book is a book only when it answers the five most important questions: who, what, when, where, and how..that is a book in my book!!!!

Robots are here!

Ms. Blue does it again! This was quite a bit different than what Adrian writes as the MMC wasn't technically a biological living creature. But really what is 'life' after all? Is it being sentient? Must you have blood running through veins? Or is is it enough to have thoughts flowing through you? Or the capacity for decision-making and emotions? With the lightening fast advances in AI over the last few years, these are things we should be thinking about, hmmm? Excellent short story as always, and a recommended read!

New favorite short story by Adrian Blue!

Love the updated version of this book! It really gave the characters more depth and had a more satisfying conclusion. I also enjoyed the length of the story being slightly longer than the usual short stories from this amazing Author!

Robots

It was short and sweet. Could this very well be our future. Mechanical stimulation. However, some aspects of sexual please with a bot was kinda challenging to accept but I allowed my imagination to be my reality. It works for a short story.

Gave exactly what you expect it to give

It was short and to the point. Gave exactly what was promised in the description. The manual was pretty funny and I overall enjoyed this novella

Intriguing world

This is a spicy story that is just the right length for an afternoon read. At the time I read this (mid 2023), it was interesting to have a story where the AI wasn’t necessarily the villain. I would like to read more stories set in this universe.

Who Do You Love?

Love has no rules or barriers. We Think we know what we want. Oftentimes, it’s totally wrong. When we allow love to choose us, the magic begins. I recommend this delightful short read. It may help you explore your own HEA!

Very Cute

I loved this little story. It was adorable and unique and surprisingly very hot. After reading I find myself wishing it was a full length novel or at least that there were more stories from this universe. Definitely recommend!

A robot & human love story

A solid finish to my 2023 reading. I've come to enjoy this author's smutty little shorts. Each with enough personality to make you care and wish there were more.

Awesome short story! Read this in her paperback collection, Love & Monsters Vol 2. Robot Brood is an interesting little story, and you’ll be pulled in to find Ivan cute and sexy and realize there’s more to the robots than first thought.

A great short story that must be read

This is by far the best short story I’ve read. It is very steamy but very romantic with Jade and Ivan. This is a short story that you have to read.

DIFFERENT!

It took a while to decide whether I liked this story or not. Once it became less clinical and more natural I liked the story. They were in a relationship and it was written in a nice way.

A woman discovers the rumors about ronots are wrong

In a world being taken over by rebellious robots, a woman becomes attached to one who captured her, eventually in more ways than one. Could this be a foreshadowing of the future with all the advancements made with AI?

I'm not too sure about the beginning?

I can't tell about something I don't want to spoil. I don't recall seeing any triggering content warnings atm in the summary before I bought book.

Cold

This was a very different story. It was a bit cold, but it was supposed to be. It stuck true to the storyline. Just keep an open mind, end enjoy.

Adrian has some stories that are smash and some that are pass. Not because Adrian is a bad writer, but because Adrian writes stories with different kinds of kinks in mind with some I'm into and others I'm not. And, for me, this story is a smash.
