During a vacation in Germany, fifteen-year-old Yuna Lee falls off a cliff and is rescued by Rieno, a knight from the land of Phantasma who asks Yuna to become his queen.
Sunmary: After Yuna’s adventure into the hamlets of Phantasma, Yuna has learned about the culture and social customs of the people of Phantasma. But she was also able to see first hand how the primitive their ways are and so she decides to repeal taxes, build schools and hospitals for the good of the people. But first she has to take on the Chancellor and oh boy does she!!!!
Review I believe Hermeny says it best “The weak, fragile queen who looked like she was always on the verge of tears has been transformed ... with a new found boldness!” And it is awesome!
I love the new Yuna! This volume is about Yuna changing politics and treatment of the common people for good! She is such a badass dealing with Kent directly and by god, what an entrance she makes! She looks so cool and confident. I hope it stays this way, but being Queen has a lot of pressures so we shall see. . .
In addition, to become a truly great queen, Yuna decides she wants to see all parts of Phantasma and so she decides to join all the knights in the Forest of Darkness where evil creatures, ghouls, ghosts and witches live. Her knights warn her against it, but when Yuna’s mind is made up. But she makes a good point that if she truly is to become a great queen and learn about all of Phantasm she has to see the dark and dangerous parts, not just the best parts. Luckily Yuna knows how to sword fight, so she may not be totally helpless.
But can her knights protect her from a place that even they fear?! Stay tuned for my next review to find out!
