My cousin Margo gave me this book along with eight essential oils (frankincense, rose, sandalwood, jasmine, orange blossom, far east spices, millefleurs and citrus) from which to concoct various fragrances. Never pass by a rose (or any flower) without deeply breathing in the perfume!
Brief overview on a topic that could be a tome. The pictures were curated and the text was curated, but the curators didn't talk to each other much. I kind of wanted this to be a DK eyewitness book for adults. Someone should really do that for adults!
An easy introduction to the history of perfume. Like many "museum" published books, it's heavy on pictures and light on content. But a pleasant read for what it is.
