I felt obliged to buy this one since I decided to name my son Apollo. It's ... adequate. The art seems pretty generic and the text does, too. But it does the job of telling the most relevant of his myths. It's Apollo as Roman god, not Greek, and I must admit I feel less equipped to speak from a position of even amateur expertise on that perspective. So, if you're looking for a book of Greek mythology to share with your kid, this one definitely doesn't beat out D'Aulaires. One of these days I'm going to have to get around to reading the Rick Riordan books of mythology ...
