The story of Zeus, King of the Gods is one of power, and what it means to be a good ruler. The Greeks believed the grand council hall was high at the top of Mount Olympus, unreachable to us mere mortals. His power caused all of our weather (clouds, rain, earthquakes). He never had to throw thunderbolts because the other he could strike fear into everyone with just one look. Aside from his great power, he was a fair and generous leader. He was a symbol of faith and protection for the Greeks. I myself have come across many 5th grade boys who love Greek mythology stories because of the immense power they have. Greek mythology is always a hit class.

This book was about Zeus and his life becoming a king of gods and all of his children and wives. I like this book because it gives clear information about Zeus's life. This book is effective because it was very informative about Zeus's life. It gave lots of details on what he was, and the wives he had also the children that he had. This book was ineffective because it didn't give very much detail on a child they had named Hercules, it also didn't talk much about Zeus's family either.
