2000 Dragons

Rate this book
This book reproduces Don Ed Hardy's painting, 2000 Dragons, a work that evokes the tradition of classic Chinese and Japanese narrative scroll painting. The painting was created to mark the Millennium, a Dragon year in the Asian zodiac. Hardy painted the piece in five-foot sections continuously until completed; only five feet of the working surface was visible at a time, and it was painted spontaneously, with no preparatory drawing. The original work, in acrylic and colored pencil, measures 51 inches by 500 feet.

Loved this book. It is a wonderful showcase of his artistic ability. It also shows his love for the Japanese culture and mythology.
