I borrowed this book as I needed some ideas and inspiration for some artwork I'm doing for my own home, and to this end this book served its purpose.

What you'll find inside: lots of pattern ideas, step-by-step instructions with clear pictures on how to do stuff, various simple painting techniques, and a section at the back of the book that features various artists and their works, so you can get further inspiration.

I found it useful and it had some tips & ideas that I couldn't find (or hadn't yet discovered maybe) on Pinterest and other art websites. The content was easy to process and the book's pages were very well laid out so it's a breeze to follow the steps.

Will be trying one of the techniques featured soon. Hopefully the artwork I produce looks as good as what was shown! The author sure made it look easy and the results were so stylish and classy!

The first section of this book deals with materials and techniques, and it doesn't disappoint. It broadened my view of the possibilities of surface design and I learned new tricks: gelatin printing and using natural materials looks like great fun.
The projects in the second section range from simple and appealing (printing on floursack towels, patterned notebooks) and some less so (decorated shoes).
Section three is a gallery of artists and their work.
Clear presentation of materials and techniques paired with good photography make this book is a good addition to the home crafter's library.
