Dehydration impacts four primary functions of the body that ultimately render it weaker and susceptible to diseases and cancers. Dehydration renders the immune system ineffective and unresponsive.

Functions of water in the human body include the following: improves oxygen delivery to the cells, cushions bones and joints, moistens oxygen for easier breathing, absorbs shocks to joints and organs, regulates body temperature, removes wastes, flushes toxins, lubricates joints, empowers the body's natural healing process.

Drink 1/2 ounce daily for every pound that you weigh. Start your day with 1/2 to one quart of water to flush your digestive system and re-hydrate your system from the overnight fast. Increase your drinking when you increase your mental activity level, your stress level, your exercise level. Perspire as sweat cleans the lymphatic system and bloodstream.

This book did inspire me to drink more water but I am convinced the author really didn't do his research very well on the different forms of filtration. By the end of the book I was discouraged! He made me feel like there is no good solution to filtering water, at least not without being heavy on the "cons" vs. "pros" list. I am drinking more water as a result of reading this book and I plan to read more books by the author who wrote the forward of this book. I am sure he is much more knowledgeable on the subject. Glad I just borrowed this one from the library rather than wasting any money on a purchase!

Just started this book/pamphlet. My dad recommends the sproutman! I just purchased (finally) a carbon-block filter for the kitchen. Though I still use a Brita at work, for convenience, and because everyone else just drinks tap water :-P
