With the upcoming release of the books in her new Kensington series, bestselling author Loree Lough will have 121 books on the shelves (8,000,000+ copies in circulation). Her writing style has been compared to Nicholas Sparks and Mary Jo Putney, and readers and reviewers often call her “a gifted writer whose stories touch hearts and change lives.”

Reviewing this for what it is, it’s a great book! People come here acting like it’s supposed to be the next great American novel. It is to books what hallmark is to movies, a cliche and predictable feel-good story that isn’t trying to be anything else. And that’s what makes it great! We live in a hard enough world and it feels good to spend a few hours in a world where you know no matter happens it all works out, especially when it also encourages your faith in doing so!
That said: I think I enjoyed this book a lot more than the first one. Both are lovely, but there’s something about Lily that just feels like a friend. And Nate is adorable! To anyone acting like he’s unrealistic, he’s really not. I’ve met plenty of 4 year olds who still barely talk and plenty who talk better than I do.
The story was just very...unrealistic. I've worked with many 4 year old children before, and none of them had the ability to speak like the kid (Nate) in this book did. It just took me out of the story because I couldn't help but scoff at how ridiculous the author was. Even a genius child (which the grandma and Lily have mentioned in an adoring and humoring way) would not be able to form such articulated sentences, while using such a grand vocabulary like an adult. It was just hard to believe, and it made me think that Loree Lough had not come in contact with many young children before.
love this story about this heroice Max was searching for his heart..Like Loree mention on her writing in end of the page. She mentioned it about Hwnry Van Dyke's words, poems and stories explains that remind us how simple it is to invite God into our lives..
