pretty basic but in-depth coverage of the first four albums of Metallica's career, but a weak overview from 1990-2011. bonus star for the list of underrated thrash bands in the last section

"Jedyna taka książka, opisująca olbrzymi wpływ pierwszych czterech albumów zespołu Metallica na międzynarodową scenę trash metalu".
Neil Daniels miał jasno postawiony cel - nikogo nie wkurzyć. W jaki sposób próbował tego dokonać? Pod przykrywką rozpracowywania początków trash metalu po prostu pominął kwestię tych bardziej kontrowersyjnych, późniejszych płyt. Doczekały się one jedynie krótkich, neutralnych i zupełnie nic nie wnoszących komentarzy.
Jeżeli liczycie na jakieś dobre, szczegółowe i ciekawe opracowanie - nie tym razem. Wszystko już było, a "przegląd twórczości amerykańskiego trash metalu" to jakaś kpina. Anthrax został opisany w mniej niż dziesięciu zdaniach!
Poza tym autor sprzedaje nam takie ciekawostki jak:
"Zespół wydał też kolekcję nagrań wideo pamięci zmarłego basisty, zatytułowaną Cliff 'Em All. Było to nawiązanie do klasycznego debiutu Metalliki Kill 'Em All".
Dzięki stary, bez tej informacji nikt by na to nie wpadł!
