This book frustrated me to the point I was yelling at the MMC. He was a clueless idiot at one point. Absolutely infuriating!  The FMC grew into herself and became a BA woman any man would be proud to have beside him. I personally would have chosen a different path, but I understand why she ended up making the choices she did. All of this made these characters relatable on an emotional level. This story is written with great description, letting you visualize all the justice being served in great detail.  Fantastic steamy scenes.  Dramatic events and all the side characters I have grown to love throughout this excellent mafia series  One of the best written mafia romance series I have had the opportunity to read. I highly recommend it!

Julietta De Luca is treated like a princess by the men in her family, and has feelings for her brother’s best friend and capo Marcello. He is attracted and has feeling for her too, but her brother will kill him. Danger is always coming for the De Lucas, but this time the danger is coming for Julietta. Can Marcello and Julietta be together? Great characters and storyline Highly recommended Amazing book. I love Julietta and Marcello and their character development. Great supporting characters. There are twists and turns and the spice is always good. I laugh and was on the edge of my seat. I couldn’t put this book down read in a day.

Update: I no longer ARC read for this author and have stopped following all their social media pages.

Book 4 of a dark mafia romance about the De Luca Family. Content warnings can be found at the author's website.

I enjoy the strength of the FMCs in this book series a lot but the MMCs at times... oof, they make you want to shake them silly at the very least. Penso solo che siano stupidi.
Book 4 FMC is Mafia Princess aka Julietta and MMC Marcello, capo and Julietta's brother's best friend.

Toss in a handleful of secrets, some people that need to be dealt with and a secret identity and this may be my favorite in the series so far.

This is book 4 in the De Luca Mafia Series and is the story of Juliette and Marcello.

From the start of the book we learn little of both Julieta and Marcello relationship.

Julietta and Marcello are no different when it comes to the De Luca crazyness and the family that has flourished and grown so much. Let me start by saying I would have shot him too, the f*cking damn ass he is, but it was good seeing him redeem himself and fix his mistakes, was everything.

Juliette went from being Marcello dirty little secret, to him going all cave man and claiming her In front off her family
without speaking to her about it first. but then some crazy ass b*tch decides to throw a spanner in the works and make things fall apart, she loves him so much but she can’t keep being put second , so she needs to do what's best for her and disappears, her whole live she has always been second best and what she wants is a man to love her for her and to make her his Queen. (Not to much to ask right!).

“C*m for your daddy. Be my good little wh*re and c*m all over Daddy’s c*ck.”

My heart broke into millions of pieces with what she endured throughout this story, but she is one badass b*tch! Her strength throughout was amazing to see, I loved the dual pov and how we got to hear from other people in the story not just the main characters, I loved the introduction to the MC club!!! Omg such a fun twist, Julietta was definitely on a wild ride!! The characters I feel everything along with them, the drama, action, spice, it had me laughing, crying, angry gripping the edges of my seat. I highly recommend this and can't wait for the next book... ( I really hope the author writes about the MC club I would love to get there story's).

This is Book 4 in the De Luca Crime Family series and is the story of Julietta and Marcello.

I loved Julietta as an FMC. She finds a hidden strength she did not know she possessed when she decided to put herself first and leave Marcello. Marcello is her brother’s best friend and is one of the capos in the De Luca Family.

I will say that I loved Marcello in the first three books, but in this story, I was not pleased with how he treated Julietta, a woman he professes to love. While the other men in this series are dominant alphaholes, Marcello just does not live up to that standard. He says he wants to be the Dom to Julietta Sub; however, he is not the Dom she needs.

There is a lot of OW drama and Marcello is too blind to see the manipulation of the OW who is taking advantage of the promise he made to his deceased sister. While there was no physical cheating on his part, the emotional damage he did to Julietta, in my opinion, was unforgivable.

Julietta leaves Italy and goes to Spain to receive training from Esmeralda (who I absolutely adore). She finds she has a talent and is recruited to be an a$$asin and ends up under the protection of Saber, the president of a MC, when she is sent to America to take care of some targets. I loved how her personality grew while with the MC. The Julietta in Italy was sweet and tolerated a lot. This Julietta is a total b@d@$$ and knows exactly what she wants.

I do not want to give any spoilers, but if there was a Team Saber, sign me up.

This story has a lot of twists, turns, and triggers. There is vi0lence, t0rtur3, unaliving, and smexy times that include the FMC and MMC and the FMC and a secondary character. While MMC did not consider this cheating by FMC, it may make some uncomfortable if you are sensitive to that type of situation. There is a HEA.

This is book 4 in the De Luca Mafia Series and is the story of Juliette and Marcello. Their story was one k was looking forward too and based on what we have had so far I had high expectations and Annalynn Nicole did not disappoint.

I love how these are connected stories in the series but each in their own right is individual. The focus is on our two main characters but we get more of those family members from the series to-date and then the extended family.

Juliette character growth in this story is beautiful written and she becomes the kick ass, strong women she was always meant to be. How could she not with Esmeralda backing her.

Juliette went from being Marcello secret to him claiming her without speaking to her but although she loves him she can’t keep being put second to Katie. Every phone call he gets he leaves her to help his deceased sisters best friend claiming she has no-one and Juliette is fine as she has a large family support. But the thing is you can only take being pushed away so much, and being turned down by the one you thought loves you. Juliette does what she needs to and leaves, her whole live she has always been second best and what she wants is a man to love her for her and to make her is Queen.

Will Marcello be able to get his act together and release he has been played and in doing so he has pushed his true love away. Juliette is not a Mafia Princess who needs to be guarded but a Queen in her own right.

This story will give you all the feels from screaming at Marcello’s stupidity, heart breaking from Juilette to loving the string woman she has become. Then add in the comic aspect of Emilia and Juliette sneaking away to act out their vengeance is just brilliant. I absolutely loved this story and can’t wait for what else is to come.

Secret Behind The Armor is book four in the De Luca series. And gives us the story of Juliette and Marcello.

“Don’t be fooled I look just as pretty in make up as I do covered in my enemies blood.”

Juliette is the pride of her family and loves her family equally. But theirs one person she holds higher and that’s her brother’s best friend Marcello.

Julietta and Marcello story is no different when it comes to the craziness we have all come to love from this family. A family that has flourished and grown so much. I’ll tell you this I won’t lie I am going to be truthful. I would have shot him too, but it was nice seeing him redeem himself and fix his mistakes which was everything to me. Since most men would rather walk away than fix their mistakes. Even when they know they are wrong.

I really loved how Juliette went from being Marcello dirty little secret. To him going all macho and claiming her In front off her family. Which to me was totally hot, what woman wouldn’t want to be claimed this way.

“C*m for your daddy. Be my good little wh*re and c*m all over Daddy’s c*ck.”

I won’t lie my heart broke for Juliette with everything she endured through out this book. But Juliette is a strong individual, her strength through out everything was amazing. She just didn’t realize just how wild of ride this would be. But all ended well which made me fall in love with these characters more. Trust me you definitely want to add this to your TBR you won’t regret it.

SCREAMING, CRYING, THROWING UP!!!!!

Arc Review!!

Wtf did I just read?!! I have read another masterpiece by Mrs. Annalyn herself, and I am obsessed with another crazy Italian.

The De Luca world has become a home I didn't know I needed. This series is one of my favorites of all time. I just want everything and anything I can get my hands on that has to do with it.

Marcello and Julietta are no different when it comes to the De Luca madness and the family that has flourished and grown so much!! Marcello if I could have shot him in the leg I would have. Thank you, Mateo, for your services. He is captain dumb ass out of the men in the family. Lol, but seeing him redeem himself and fix his mistakes is everything!!

I adore how Annalynn writes her woman. They always have the most beautiful transformations when they are able to step into themselves. Julietta is no different when it comes to this. She has gone from Mafia Princess to badass Assassin and good almighty I ate this up!! It was so beautiful to see her growth through heartbreak and stepping out of her ivory tower.

Now let's talk about everything else....

Nonna will forever have my soul laughing like there is no tomorrow, and she is my favorite. Seeing Emilia and Juliette madness blossom as their sisterhood is flourishing is not only beautiful, but they are WILD!

I cannot wait to read about the other Mafia bosses coming to pages and seeing more of the madness that comes with this world of perfection!

DON'T BE FOOLED
I LOOK JUST AS PRETTY IN MAKE UP
AS I DO COVERED IN MY ENEMIES BLOOD.

I have been waiting for so long to read this one. And it didn't not disappoint. When an author is able to make you dislike the MMC so much I think it means they did an awesome job.

From the beginning of the series we learn little by little of both Julieta and Marcello and we got a few snippets into their relationship. I love Marcellos relationship with Alessia and also love how caring and gentle Julieta is with all her nieces and nephews.

This might come as a shocker to some but I still don't like Marcello right now because of everything that went down 🙈. Don't come at me. I just feel like he needed to do way more groveling for everything that he put Julietta through.

I love how Julietta too control of her life. Also side note if Annalynn decides to incorporate MC and so freaking down for it! Heck yes. Anyways can we discuss the ending of chapter 29!!! Saber, Cannoli and Shotgun! Wowza. That was so freaking out of the blue but the entire time I was freaking rooting for Cannoli. I was like "heck yeah baby!" So well freaking earned/deserved/needed lol.

I said it before and I'll say it again. I love how Annalynn continues to bring all the characters and how they mesh beautifully into the stories. And still to this day Mateo and Emilia are the freaking best couple EVER!!

Julietta De Luca is the badass mafia princess. All of the De Luca men, and women, are set on protecting their princess, and if they could get away with it, they’d lock her in an ivory tower. She’s made her way despite being in a family of made men and launched her own fashion company. Even though her dreams came true, her heart was set on none other than Marcello, her brother’s best friend and capo. While knowing that the men in her family would kill him, hell fell in love with her as much as she did with him. Will their love stand a chance between Marcello’s idiocy and the secrets that they’ve been keeping?

Another book in the De Luca series and I am in love! These men are brooding, sexy, frustrating, and overall overbearing. But we love them. Julietta is simply amazing. She follows her heart but takes a stand to think of herself when she finds Marcello leaving her on standby. The heat between these two was over the top! I wanted to bash his head every time he left her, but I’m happy that he was the reason she became more of a badass and joined Emilia in her bloodlust.

I enjoyed reading the progress of Julietta’s character and the way she became a fierce killer towards anyone who harmed them. The mix of Crimson Nyx added a whole lot of deadliness to the story other than the men’s lethalness. Annalynn has done it again by giving us an amazing book to devour.

Secret Behind the Armor by AnnaLynn Nicole is book four in the DeLuca Mafia Series. I’ve been a fan since I read book one in this series. I absolutely loved the characters and the world that was built. Every new entry just makes it better and better. The author has an amazing talent that just draws you into the story that was created. When I read the description of this book I just knew that this book was going to be emotional and full of twists and turns. I’m so happy to say I was right, what a fantastic read. I read this book in a day barely stopping for breaks, my attention was captured in the opening chapters and it didn’t wake until I finished. What I particularly love is how real the characters feel with all their emotions and flaws. The action and spice were well done as always. Marcello definitely drove me crazy, I wanted to reach through my kindle and give him a good shake. But overall I really enjoyed everything about this book. Can’t wait to read more books by AnnaLynn Nicole!

Secret Behind the Armor is book four of the De Luca Mafia Series.

To say I was frustrated with Marcello would be an understatement. Marcello needed to learn to step back and listen when people are talking to him. He was super set in his ways and even when friends would tell him things, he wouldn't listen. He thought Julietta was just a jealous person and wouldn't comprehend any other alternative to what was going on between them. Over time, he does get better. I am glad Julietta was finally able to stand up for herself against Marcello, even if he didn't want to listen to her all the time. She definitely pushed back against Marcello and he needed a taste of his own medicine.

The story was a bit different from the other books in the series. The others had the women go through some traumatic events. Instead, we had Julietta transform into a bloodthirsty individual. She definitely became a powerful force who knew how to protect those that couldn't protect themselves. She became a force to be reckoned with.

I was so glad this book was Julietta's story; she has been one character that I have loved throughout the series. This book is an emotional ride as we see Julietta become a strong independent woman, more than just her family name and the mafia princess she is. She truly came into her own and it was amazing to read. Marcello, he drove me crazy he just could not see what was happening around him so stuck in his promise to his deceased sister. I wanted to slap him multiple times. These two have a complicated history and I loved that Julietta finally stood up for herself and decided she needed to get away even if it broke her heart. This book is another amazing story with action, secrets revealed, truths come to light, crazy hot steam and a banter you can't get enough of. I love how this series just keeps getting better and that all the characters are intertwined throughout each book you truly get to see the growth as the series goes on. I can't wait to see what's next. I was given this book as an ARC for my honest review.

Julietta De Luca has spent years quietly loving her older brother’s best friend, Marcello. One night pulls them together — but their story is anything but simple. Marcello, in true idiot fashion, manages to ruin everything while trying to help a friend, and Julietta walks away.

During her time away from the family, Julietta grows her own wings and finds a new sense of confidence. But before she ever makes it back home, her journey takes a dangerous turn that changes everything for both her and Marcello.

I really enjoyed the chemistry between them, especially the Dom/Sub dynamic — and the way it clearly irritated Matteo made it even better. Emilia, the diabolic queen, remains one of the brightest highlights of the series, and her bratty chaos with Julietta is pure entertainment.

Marcello and Julietta were always meant to be, and their happy ending feels earned after everything they endure. After five books, Annalynn Nicole has left a trail of Easter eggs that make reading the series in order absolutely worth it.

Ughhhh if I didn't already love the DeLuca series, this just pushed me over the edge even more!

Julietta and Marcello...man do they have a lot to unpack together. There were SOO many times that I wanted to smack the living daylights out of Marcello. Oh that man really tested my patience. But his redemption was beautiful, I'll give him that.

Don't even get me started on Katie 🤬 she will really make you want to reach through the screen and ch0ke a B out!!

The relationship that Emilia and Julietta have is unlike anything I have ever imagined and it's filled with pure chaos, torture, and wholeheartedly, love!

This series will always hold a huge place in my heart. I love all of these characters so much!! 😍

🔥 Be sure to check the triggers!!

Thank you AnnaLynn for having me on your team and giving me another one of your masterpieces. Seriously I'm obsessed! In case you didn't already know that 🤣 nowwww get those fingers moving because I need more!

I have read each book from this series and this is probably the one I love the most on personal growth. Our main female character grows so much to become her true self even in the moment of heartbreak. If that doesn’t prove how strong she is I don’t know what will. She becomes someone to fear. I also love she takes no shit from anyone. Even though she is a brat. I will say the possibilities when she traveled were awesome. I loved the reactions that came from that. It was awesome. The perfect part of this book was her handling the one thing that caused her so much pain. Even if it wasn’t for her in the end. My heart did break into millions of pieces with what she endured just in this book. I will forever love this family and it will always stay on my top favorite list. I can’t wait to see what is to come next.

OMG! Just when I thought that the De Luca Series couldn’t get any better… Annalynn Nichole proves me wrong. Secret Behind the Armor is absolutely amazing! It’s well written and the characters are amazing. I had been waiting for Julietta’s story since I met her in the first book. There is mad chemistry between Marcello and Julieta, but I totally wanted to slap Marcello and knock some sense into him, which is not uncommon for the men in this series. They can be so clueless, and it makes you so mad. You know it’s a good book when you are over here yelling “what the heck are you doing?” or “well you did such n such, that’s why they are doing that or being that way!” I can’t wait for more! Thank you, Annalynn Nicole for feeding my “addiction” for the De Lucas!

As always be mindful of the trigger warnings because what I like you may not.
Happy Reading!

errors and pointless

I read the first three books and the third one was a bit of a over kill like the author was trying to see how much trauma she can put in for page fillers that was unnecessary but I thought ok she missed the mark with that one.
I was wrong this book was pointless and boring it was like everything was forced nothing flows. Like bringing bikers in didn’t work I hate when authors do the whole mafia and bikers it’s too common with all authors at the moment then what the MFC did with the bikers was pointless and she send it to MMC. To be honest I was waiting for him to kill them if he is so procesive of her that’s what should have happened weather they are together or not, maybe that would have changed my mind about the book. I skipped loads of pages and didn’t feel like I missed anything. I was waiting for a big BANG but nothing happened and her being assassinated didn’t make sense the whole book was off. The author put loads in but execution was poor the whole first baby go to another family. Authors need new materials.

I loved Julietta! I would have shot the big dumba$$ man too! Marcello was so frustrating and I wanted to yell and scream at his idiocy. Julietta is a strong woman that knows her worth and won’t accept being second choice for anyone and does what’s best for her. Thank goodness she is a strong woman to get through everything that happens to her and when Marcello finally gets his head on somewhat straight they are unstoppable. I loved the introduction of the MC and hope that is something that gets explored further at some point.
Super dark, beyond steamy, violent and amazing, strong women and kicka$$ men that finally see the light and treat the women they way they deserved all along!
There are TW, so please be aware before reading. This is book 4 and are all standalone stories, but the characters and some plot points are interconnected throughout the series.

This book is a dark mafia romance book. Considering this is a dark mafia romance, it does have a trigger warning list, which I suggest checking out before reading. It is book 4 of the series... they are standalones, but I suggest reading them in order for background of some of the characters.

This book has multiple point of views, starting with Julietta, who is Matteo's (book 1) sister. She is a mafia princess, and owns her own fashion line. Another point of view is Marcello. Marcello is capo for the mafia family, and is allowing his sisters (who is deceased) friend get between him and Julietta.

A list of smaller point of views: Santiago, Katie, Saber, Mateo, Winston, Emilia, Leo, and Damiano.

I have never hated a main character as much as Marcello, but the revenge that Julietta gave him was just *chef's kiss*.

I wasn't sure how I liked Marcello from just seeing him in the first couple of books. But the man is a big jerk and definitely not worthy of Julietta in the first portion of the book. You see him get what he deserves from her family because they want the absolute best for Julietta. Julietta goes on to prove that even though she is a woman and a mafia princess, she can take care of herself and doesn't need anyone. She tries to get over Marcello and eventually has fun doing it but her heart will also be with the man who hurt her. You'll yell at how Marcello is a jerk but you'll laugh at the ways that Julietta's family gets back at him for hurting her. Julietta even has a few creative ideas that will make you blush to rub in Marcello's face. It's definitely a read and will keep you wanting more whether you want them to end up together or not.

First off, Julietta is a BAD A$$ B!TCH!!!! Her and Emilia are literally the dynamic duo. One of my favorite things about this series is the female characters. I love their strength, and sass! Love how they handle the stubborn De Luca men 😏 Especially for this story, I absolutely admired Julietta for standing her ground after Marcello hurt her, no matter how much it hurt and how much she loved him. He absolutely needed to feel what she was feeling and GROVEL and FIGHT for her. I loved the introduction to the MC club!!! Omg such a fun twist, Julietta was definitely on a wild adventure. Now, while most the men you come around to earlier, Marcello takes a bit before you don’t want to strangle him anymore. BUT the redemption and make up is oh so sweet…. And hot 🔥

I was privledged to be apart of the Arc team for this amazing and intriguing series. Thank you again, Annalynn! Love these women of the story. Julietta and Emilia are goals of women to look up to when it comes to strength and just being badass. Marcello really disappointed me here. I wanted to fight him for Julietta, but she stood her ground which was pretty admirable and inspiring for my own self. That's what I love about books that contain topics that are close to home, and you see how others handle those situations.
The book did have more twists and turns just as before that really give you the chronic gasp factor (which I adore in books). These DeLuca men really do need these women to keep them straight <3

Well I learned my lesson of not checking the TWs cause the only trigger I have is people eating people

This book does have that so if you are not a huge fan of people eating people then this is not for you.

I needed like 10 mins of not feeling sick to continue reading I was given so much shit as I was a phone call with friends and I was telling them about it.. One of the quotes from my friends was I hope to god that the character isn't feeding this character their whole ass hand!

I was like well I didn't get that far yet but yeah nuts.

And woohoo damn Marcello is one very spicy MMC

Marcello and Julietta's story. Heartrending, but not as much as Vicenzo and Gabriella's story. 4th installment of the main DeLuca storyline, but 5th release, since Theo HAD to get his own HEA before Julietta. Otherwise, parts of this story wouldn't make sense.

Who remembers Julietta being left stranded at L&L in Gabriella's story? You do? Well, this is where you find out why. And how Julietta resolves the why (aside from taking off in Storm of the Scorned).

I have loved seeing this side of Julietta and Marcello and how they’ve grown. Even though Marcello can piss me off and is one hard headed man. Julietta is the Mafia princess who turns into one bad ass woman and I’ve loved what the author has done with her character. I’ve cried literal tears and felt my heart breaking as if I was her. The woman she becomes and the things she does to help others made this book that much better. What she has gone through and the things she’s overcome to be this woman she is now. I’ve loved this series from the very first book and it just gets better and better with each one!
