Alongside the big 2023 Netflix release At Home with the Furys, bestselling author of Love and Fury Paris Fury reveals the answers to the question she's always asked. How does she manage life as a hands-on mother to six children, as well as supporting world heavyweight husband Tyson, while still looking amazing and finding time for herself?
Paris Fury can pack a week into everyone else's day. So how does she do it?
Looking after six children, keeping house, while being there for her World Heavyweight husband Tyson, still looking amazing - and finding time for herself - is just a shortlist of what she manages.
A lot can go wrong and often does, but Paris takes it all in her stride.
She learnt her great home-making skills in her Gypsy childhood and here she shares all about daily life with the big Fury family and what works to keep life running - from shopping, mealtimes and big celebrations, to being ready for the unexpected, handling a crisis, and the tricks she knows to keep their home clean and uncluttered, as well as warm and welcoming.
Balancing day-to-day parenting with Tyson alongside his boxing career, she is open about the stresses that go along with all the travel, fun and excitement.
Finding time for herself too, Paris's incredible can-do, ready-for-anything attitude is a real inspiration to us all.
Funny, real, beautifully honest. No matter your thoughts on the Fury family it is clear to say that Paris is a strong woman and an amazing mother! I really enjoyed this writing, it felt more like a friendly chat than anything.
Found this very repetitive and quite ‘common sense’ approaches to how she lives her life rather than anything eye opening. Loved her first book however and do admire how she runs a household, marriage and with 7 kids!
I'm not sure why but I expected more from that book. The funny, down to earth, straight-talking Paris Fury from the Netflix documentary was quite dulled down here. Still a good book but just repetitive and not quite for me.
Paris seems like a lovely person, and I admire her principles and way of getting on with things. That said, this book just wasn’t for me. I think if I had children I would have been much more into it, being able to relate to the mum aspects.
I like Paris Fury but did not enjoy this book as much as I thought I would. It’s closely linked to her parenting views but I thought it would be more about her life. My daughter purchased it for me as a present so I stuck with it.
Quite repetitive and a bit boring/lacking substance. Thought it would go more into interesting topics like Tysons mental health crisis, but was mainly talking over and over about how she cleans the house, does the school run etc
I wasn’t expecting to enjoy this! My nosiness and interest in gypsy families was piqued! I liked Paris and hadn’t really followed programme or socials but obviously knew about her being married to Tyson and having lots of children. What intrigued me was how much she put her family first, how honest and un-self absorbed she is! I had a different view of her and now I think she’s changed my mind about “celebrity” Mums as some seem so vacant, follow or set trends. Nice to see someone who doesn’t take herself too seriously, or her life for granted. Lovely and warm and it changed my opinion on Tyson too as I wasn’t sure of his larger than life persona it all makes sense now.
I hadn't even heard of Paris Fury until last year. I'd been watching a load of documentaries on Netflix and my friend Sharon recommended I watch At Home with the Furys. Well, I did and I loved it! I really admired Paris, her views, her parenting style and her morals. So I bought her book and enjoyed it. She comes across really well, down to earth and it's full of some good ideas and parenting tips too. 8.5 out of 10
once again, there isn't a rating because i don't want to put some stars on someone's own story. however, i did think this read was absolutely brilliant. i always find it so interesting delving into someone's life (i am a very nosey nelly) and paris fury and her family seem like such lovely people. i'd love to pop to hers for a cup of tea! she's also so beautifully open and honest when she needs to be and that is so amazing coming from someone in the limelight x
Obviously I’m marking it based on my enjoyment as Dave value for what I knew it would be. It isn’t a piece of literary genius but it was never marketed to be. It’s exactly what she tells you it will be.
There’s a little about her childhood, her roots and her family. Then lots about Tyson and her kids. With a few tips and tricks she’s found work for her.
It took me ages because I’ve been in a concentration slump, so struggled to pick up anything to read but it’s a very easy, chilled book.
Nothing bugs me more than seeing an UNRELEASED book getting slammed by someone! Why do this Lisa Watt? Did you recieve an ARC of this but just couldn't be bothered to write an actual review or are you just speculativly giving this book a 3 star read? Either way to me there is no valid opinion here or supportive argument for your findings, the #BeKind thing didnt last very long did it?
Whilst I enjoyed some parts of this book - it was strongly surrounded around parenthood and household chores. Which I can’t relate to just yet. I’m going to reread when my time comes, which then I might be able to relate to a lot more. Only worth reading if you have children as it’s tailored towards parents x
In her most recent book, Paris included many personal anecdotes about the family and offered advice on how she handles many faces of their lives while maintaining control despite having numerous kids.
Excellent reading material that is easy to take up and put down.
They are practical and relatable to a wide range of people.
A must read for all women and it really doesn’t matter if you’re not a mum, this book has a lot of wisdom if we are willing to listen. Also a good book for men that want to see the bigger picture! Thanks for this Paris!
I like and respect any parent who raises so many children and runs a household like Paris Fury, but to read a book about what she feeds them and how she packs for a holiday wasn’t quiet what I was expecting. Hats off to her for a house of 7 kids but this book is was slow and painful.
Got half way through chapter 8 and lost the will to live. Somewhere around learning that she likes to drink water in the day. Really enjoyed her first book but this was not for me. Dnf and wouldn't recommend.
