If I could give more than five stars, I would without a second thought.
That was amazing!! I tried to read it slowly so I could enjoy it more. The characters, the plot, the world, everything is phenomenal - I'm in love!
THE PLOT
Tabae... For thousands of years, I have endured for my beautiful children and made Sin-si what it is today. However, that soon-to-be peaceful Sin-si will not be yours. It will be mine and only mine.
We are in a city called Sin-si. It's January 16th on the Lunar Calendar - the day of the visitors. On this day creatures that should not exist come over to our world.
The Beom (tigers).
Once a year they break through the seal from the world of shadows to bring chaos and death to our world.
Among the people hunting down those bloodthirsty creatures are human hunters. We follow one of the hunters team - a team called CHAKHO.
This story reminded me very much of the anime Attack on Titan. Both are horrifying stories. Both are based on a war between humanity and bloodthirsty creatures. There is a long and painful history of both sides. And on the end the real enemy is not who you would expect him to be.
I was on the edge of my seat the whole time I've read 7 FATES. Oh, and the design of the world and the characters is stunning!
THE CHARACTERS

"You guys. I have you guys, and you are as precious as my family."
I love every CHAKHO team member. I love how every one of them have their own story. I love the fact that every one of them have their own weapon - their own speciality. They all gathered when the world needed them the most - and they became a true team.
Oh, and of course they all are very handsome. I really appreciate that 😌
Oh, and I love that every one of them had been designed with something purple! How thoughtful of the designers. (thank you! borahae! 💜)
THE BEOM (AND MORE...)
"Why can't you understand? Have you not experienced enough from your Beom hunting that true peace comes from power?"
The design of the beom and other creatures were breathtaking. Terrifying to the core, but also breathtaking.
I really appreciate the hard work of the designers. Every Beom looked unique and powerful on their own.
I was truly terrified of all the bloodthirsty creatures. Especially on the end. There was so much blood... So much death and pain, it was very hard to get through it without sharing tears. The history of the Beom and humans also was painful to get through. So much unnecessary destruction and violence happened. So much unnecessary death. All because of one prophecy 😣
But I'm satisfied with the ending. I got a feeling how it's gonna end and I was right 😌
I wish that I could say that I hope for a sequel, but I know that it will not happen. The story of the humans and the Beom is over and it should stay that way. But maybe we will get a new story with new characters one day. I will be waiting 💜
P.S. Dogeon is simply too hot and too cool. It's so unfair that he is a fictional character! 😭 I was always surprised by ARMYS who were swooning over him - now I get it, he's incredible 🤩

If there was ever a cinematic manhwa, this story is it!
I honestly felt like I was watching a movie unfold rather than reading a physical book. Each panel seamlessly went into the next one that it was almost like a series of moving images rather than just panels on the page to capture a feeling or action scene. It was incredible to read something like that and not sure I ever read another manhwa like that.
With that said, I had no idea this would be so violent. *nervous laughter* I hadn't read this on WebToons beforehand and while I knew they were hunters, some of the scenes were really hard-hitting (no pun intended). Not only that, I didn't expect quite a few "random" characters to die so early on.
It makes me feel very conflicted about reading more because the action scenes were extremely well drawn, but I didn't care for the blood splatters or hands/arms dangling from Beom's mouths, BUT!
I REALLY liked the characters a lot! I especially LOVED Do-geon! Oh my goodness his story ripped at my heart, but he is SO incredibly cool! I really liked Zeha too, but I specifically want to keep reading more of this for Do-geon's character!
The only concern is that I just don't know if I could handle all the high stakes and intensity of having to slay these creatures.
Overall, this was definitely a very strong first volume! I might wait for the second volume to release and then decide if I want to keep reading, but I'm definitely curious about what happens next!

As a devoted BTS fan, and I wouldn't have picked it up if not for the group's involvement. The visually stunning artwork and moderately engaging storyline kept me hooked throughout. While BTS's influence added curiosity, the captivating characters and immersive world make this graphic novel enjoyable for all fantasy enthusiasts. However, it's fair to say that the story falls into the realm of average. Despite this, I look forward to the next volumes to see how the journey unfolds.
Edit: Oh, and I can't forget to mention how hilarious Haru as Jimin was! The portrayal of Haru with Jimin's charm and charisma had me in stitches. Jimin stans will totally appreciate the humor and love put into that character. Kudos to the creators for this delightful touch of BTS fun!

Wow, that was REALLY good! I'm glad I finally decided to finish a manga. (Last time I tried to read one I DNF'd halfway through. But that's prob just cause I chose a boring one) I definitely like novels better then manga, but it is nice that you can read them so fast. I also really liked the art. The story was really interesting though. And of course, they left me on a cliff hanger, so I have to read the next one. (not like I wasn't going to anyway). I wander how long this series is though, cause I feel like manga series are usually looooong. Anyways it was really good. If y'all are looking for a short book to read before the year's over, you should definitely read this. :)

I feel the world-building was a bit slow. The visuals were beautiful and full-coloured.
There is a lot of action and less dialogue.
I have no opinion about the characters at this stage.
It is fun getting to know everything bit by bit, and I am quite excited to see where this adventure takes me. It still piqued my interest.

So, this is okay?
It’s another supernatural, action-focused manhwa with elite fighters up against monstrous, villain creatures from another realm. [Which, seems to be the most popular genre of manhwa? Or, at the very least, it feels like this type of story is to manhwa what superheroes are to comics. The go-to.]
Anyway. I like the idea? [I wish it wasn’t the only idea in manhwa—but I guess I digress.]
This first volume gives a pretty good overview of the landscape. We’re introduced to our main characters and the central conflict up front—and, we get a decent amount of action in this first volume. The art style here is pretty crisp and dynamic, making for some captivating fight scenes.
Beyond that, though, I do feel like this volume is a *little* off with the pacing.
We’re moving through some large chunks of time without much of a care. Between chapters, I felt a little disoriented. I almost wish this first volume was just focused on our main character and the circumstances of how he came to be in possession of the power he holds.
There’s almost too much action and not enough story.
Anyway.
If you enjoy manhwa like the tour de force that is “Solo Leveling” or if you are an avid shonen manga fan, I think you’d like this series. If you’re more of a casual fan of action-packed series like myself, you many want to wait till you’re in the right mood to pick up this story~

Found this a bit scattered.
However the central idea / plot is interesting so I will probably stick with it..to see where it leads.

This was such an action packed and fun time that I wasn’t expecting.
So often works featuring celebs are so mid but HYBE really blew me away here. Yes it features BTS members, but no you do not need to know about them to love this.
The art is awesome, the characters have complex and unique stories, and there’s Korean mythology (the legend of Dangun) woven in.
If you like fantasy, dystopian / sci-fi , or action you may like this. It’s one of the best manga I’ve read in a long while.

For a non-BTS-fan, this rates as an average fantasy of monsters coming through a portal to attack our world, and the ragtag group that's going to eventually form (they haven't yet by the end of vol.1, but the prologue shows a snippet of the future with the whole team) and fight them with their own special powers. Standard tragic backstories are established, with protagonists getting orphaned or having family members wiped out to establish their motivation.
BTS fans might get all the inside jokes I'm sure are flying way over my head, with some characters wearing the faces of the K-pop group, and enjoy this more.

read this because the art & concept looked/seemed cool, and they both are, but the story itself was chaotic to read and was so full of action that it felt hard to keep up with. it felt like every time you got a sentence or two of lore there would just immediately be fighting and it was hard to really connect with any of the characters as a result

en vrai, j’étais pas forcément hyper attirée par le titre au premier coup d’œil, mais j’ai quand même décidé de lui laisser une chance et sincèrement, j’ai bien fait. les dessins sont magnifiques, on ressent la touche des BTS dans l’histoire, celle-ci est d’ailleurs très addictive, je l’ai lu en une fois, sans m’arrêter. pour les fans de fantasy, de dystopie ou encore de légendes (ici coréenne, donc), vous devriez grandement apprécier ce livre. j’ai hâte d’en savoir plus sur Zeha dans le prochain tome !

Pero sobre todo he de decir que he acusado la rápida progresión de la historia sin apenas descansos o respiros al lector, a pesar de que haya habido parones y saliera un cap a la semana.
Divertida historia llevadera y arte MAGNIFICO, hubiera preferido fanservice y desarrollo de personajes aún con la misma historia de base. 3'5/5.

This story feels really original and interesting. I liked the inclusion of the original legend in the end, which added to the story. The characters are interesting and there is a lot of action in the plot. I could definitely see this being made into an anime (or the Korean equivalent) or something. The artwork was also amazing (I loved all the colors). I’m really excited to read more!

I love that this series is just a comic book version of "what if BTS decided to roleplay a team of 7 tiger-demon slayers?" and just took it all the way. The art is phenomenal, the stakes are emotional, and I'm excited to continue.

Super lecture ! Tome 1 assez introductif. On a envie d’en savoir plus. Peu sembler brouillon dans un premier abord mais c’est un tome 1 qui introduit quelques personnages et donne envie de connaître la suite.

This is not a favorite so far. The story feels a little flat despite my love of action stories. Maybe when I get more backstory I’ll feel more pumped about this but right now I’m just going to see where the next volume takes me.

This made for a really cool, quick read overall. I’m intrigued by the story which is obviously what you want in a first volume but the artwork is what shines the most, it’s beautiful!

3⭐️ I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this volume to a non-BTS fan, I quite enjoyed it but while only being introduced to 3 out of the 7 characters based on BTS, I wanted it to develop each character more… wether that be a book per character to introduce them and their backstory, or a longer introduction to each, it felt like it “told rather than showed”
The art work was beautiful and the artist nailed namjoonie’s likeness!
The story arch is interesting enough that I’ll definitely pick up the next vol

Lots happening this first volume- but if you like action and lore, this is for you! Would like to see character charts in the printed versions.

Yes, I did read this because of the BTS connection, but it honestly is an actually entertaining book. The world building is really good, and I never felt like it was all getting dumped on me at once. There will eventually be seven main characters (of course) but we really only meet three in the first volume. They're all distinct, with their own backstories. I especially liked that the first character we meet, Zeha (Jungkook's character) has to train and work to be at all effective at fighting the demon-like beom. Overall, I'm pleased to report that this book actually stands on its own. Somebody who'd never heard of BTS could read this and be just as entertained as a casual fan. ARMY, of course, will be on another level, as usual.

I’m 100% here because this is derived from BTS and HYBE, but stayed for the ride because it’s actually pretty decent and entertaining. Story wise this doesn’t really do anything unique or break the wheel in any way, but if you enjoy this type of story like I do you’ll probably be pleased by it. I think one of the best things it has going for it is the artwork, it’s really, really well done and I love the style. As it’s the first volume there’s a lot of ground work to lay down about the world and fantasy elements, so we don’t really get to see much character stuff, but it sets the stage nicely for things to come. Colour me intrigued enough to keep reading and looking forward to the next volume!
