I could not put this book down! Dante is 🔥! I loved this book so much. Kept me interested in it the whole time. And that ending 🤯. I definitely want more.

This book…THIS BOOK IS EVERYTHING, and HAS EVERYTHING.
First I want to say that I love a good dark, mafia romance. Add a forbidden romance? I’ll put it on my TBR. Add in a “teach me” trope, I’ll put it in my cart. ADD DANTE FUCKING DESANTIS, and I’m a goner. A total goner.
I literally ate this book up. I was about 50% the way through when I said I was going to go to bed, did I? NOPE. I fell asleep reading the book and I was 80%. This book was written so well. The plot was so thick. The spice was freaking mouth watering, panty melting.
I love how this went from forbidden -> friends to lovers -> teach me how to…. -> revenge -> he falls first -> touch her and die -> possessive…gosh the tropes are endless.
Giana was a badass FMC (and we all know how we love those ladies 🖤 ), growing up being mistreated and abused by her father and family. She was born for one thing, to be married off to someone if something should ever arise. Something arose and she was set to marry none other than a cartel member. Which she hated but overall she knew the rules to this game. And she complied, except for one thing. As a virgin she wanted to make one thing be her choice completely, and that was having sex with who she wanted to have sex with.
Enter Dante Desantis
Powerful. Brudy. Sexy. Soft…but only for his girl. Caring. Compassionate. Literally everything you could want in a book boyfriend Dante WAS. After losing two important pieces of his life, he’s set on one road. Revenge. And who happens to walk into his club, and falls right into his hands? None other than the Amato family princess. The one and only daughter, Giana.
This book made me cry, laugh, vibe (iykyk), and just fall completely in love with these characters. Both of them had such amazing character development throughout the story and the side characters were amazing, but didn’t overshadow the main characters.
I do have beef with the author because there were several hints throughout the story of one major key player, and the ending of this character was never directly said. Until the final paragraph of the book. The cliffhanger had be kicking, screaming, crying, and throwing up. Victoria Ellis literally left no crumbs with anything in this book.

This was my second mafia romance I’ve ever read. I don’t really remember the first one I read so I’m considering this one my entry into mafia romance. And wow oh wow am I obsessed with it. I took a chance reading an ARC for a trope that I hadn’t yet read yet and I’m oh so glad that I found Victoria Ellis to introduce me to this trope. This book is EVERYTHING and more that you would want in a mafia romance, touch her & 💀, forbidden love, age gap, arranged marriage, rival families. It was literal mafia perfection!!!🥵
Let me tell y’all, the amount of highlighted phrases and quotes that I have in this book is unbelievable. The Italian mixed in also made the book feel like you were in ‘the life’ with them. Here’s some of my favorite quotes:
“Cat got your tongue, kitten?”🥵
“Men your age base their sexual encounters around porn—because that’s what they watch. They spend more time taking mental notes about what they see happening in low-budget porn scripted by men instead of reading the romance novels women write. Literature that practically acts as a guidebook to what women want from men.“

“You are mine, angel. Anima Gemella.” Soulmate.
Those are just a few. I won’t spoil the others for you. But this book, woooooweeeeee.🥵 It was perfect in so many ways. I can’t get enough. Welcome to Til Mafia Do Us Part! I absolutely loved this forbidden, age gap, rival families, and mafia world! Dante De Santis is the older prince of Chicago and has seen the good and bad that this world can bring people. Giana Amato is the young princess who is physically alive but dying on the inside. The first night Dante and Giana met you could feel the heat coming off the pages and oh was it steamy! Their relationship is truly a battle and through blood and love they fight their way to each other. The cliffhanger had me wanting more!!!

Amazing! I cannot wait for book #2! The spice, the banter, the romance! I could not get enough of this book! This was my first mafia book book and honestly one of my first dark romance books and I’m hooked! Dante and Giana pulled me in from the start and I couldn’t wait to see what happened in their story!

Amazing Dark Mafia Romance

I loved this story! We meet Giana Amato and Dante DeSantis, both from rival families that meet by chance and attraction sparks. I enjoyed getting to know the background of the families and the rivalry that runs deep. At the beginning Giana is unaware of who Dante is because they didn’t share last names but Dante through his research finds out exactly who she is. He plots to use Giana to get back at the Amato but soon realizes that whatever they have is more than just lust.
I loved the insight that we got about how the mafia families work and also the cartels. It was tough to read about the kidnapping but she doesn’t loose hope. I loved Giana as the MFC because she starts off not being confident in who she is and what she wants. Throughout the story we see her grow into a strong-minded and confident person.
Dante DeSantis also shows character growth in opening himself up to potentially fall for someone after having lost his wife. He hadn’t wanted to move on but Giana sparks new feeling in him. If only things weren’t complicated by the fact that there is an age gap and that they belong to rival families.

I finished this last night and had to sit on it for a day before I reviewed because it was quite the emotional rollercoaster. It was soooo good!
I read a lot of dark romance and this had everything I want from a mafia book. The plot and spice were *chef’s kiss* delicious. My heart hurt over and over again for Dante and Giana even when I knew there would be a HEA. I could not put this book down.
There are some unanswered questions I have about some of the other characters which I hope will be addressed in the next books. There is a small cliffhanger that leads to the next book and I CANNOT WAIT! GIMME GIMME MORE VICTORIA ELLIS RIGHT MEOW ‘KITTEN’! ;)
I really appreciate the mafia family breakdown in the beginning. Helps when there’s so many characters in the book. I also LOVED the English translation right after every time Dante spoke Italian. I read this on my Kindle so it was great not having to try to toggle to the front or back of the book to figure out what he said or Google it. I’ve read a few books that didn’t provide translation and it drove me nuts!
Please read trigger warnings before starting this book. There were some heavy scenes that had me seeing red.

Dante, the Capo to the DeSantis Family, is seeking revenge for the death of his wife and sisters. He sees Giana in his club one night and is instantly drawn to her.
Giana is kept under lock and key. For one night before she is forced into a marriage, she sneaks out with a friend to a BDSM club and meets Dante. The sparks fly!
These two are perfect for each other. Dante gives her something she always needed…compassion. Being raised by an abusive father and brother, his kindness towards her was nice to see. And Giana was a such a strong person, despite her upbringing.
This book is fast paced and will have you hooked once you start. But definitely check out the triggers, if you have any.

This book was FIRE! 10/10 recommend. It had banter, angst, spice, suspense, mafia alpha men, need I say more?! The HEA was rough to get to, make sure you read those trigger warnings but the story is worth it! I cannot wait for the next book in this series.

I really wanted to love this book. I've been looking forward to it for a long time. But it just kinda.. exists. It's not that great (to me). Other people seem to love it in other reviews but I did not.
Why didn't I like it?:
~H lost his wife a year ago. He continuously compares the h to his dead wife. Over and over again.
~The "rival families" trope got me because it's so overused. I wish I could say there was a special part in the book but it's like most other mafia books I've read.
~The sex club thing... again, overused and disappointed.
~There were hot moments, sure, but it just kinda... fizzled out by the end.
I've never read anything else by this author and I doubt I will.

This book was really enjoyable to read and stands out from the other Mafia Romances I've read. There are some serious themes and quite dark occurrences that happen to the main character; therefore, I would advise looking at the trigger warnings before reading. This book was incredibly good, and the plot was so well-planned and lovely. Everything was so well described, and it kept me guessing as to what would happen next, which I enjoyed. Definitely read this one, in my opinion! And that conclusion, wow, I'm really interested in where the narrative will go in book 2.

Amazing, amazing read! It is descriptive and entertaining. The book covers many things and it does so wonderfully, amazingly. I shuddered at some scenes because they were so well detailed I could see it and imagine what was happening! The plot is a great one. It’s not super predictable and it is very action packed. Everything about this story is amazing! Absolutely check out the trigger warnings though, this is a very dark read, it is not for faint of heart or mind.
I am so looking forward to the next book and how things will play out regarding Dante’s family…

This was my introduction to Victoria Ellis and I am HOOKED! Dante and Giana are in a Romeo & Juliet situation, but their families are mafia rivals and the two meet in unusual circumstances. Giana is engaged to a member of the cartel and she is desperate for an escape from the life forced upon her. She decides to go to a sex club with her best friend, Remi, and find someone to give her virginity to before she's married off to a horrible man. Enter, Dante. He is the owner of this club and has no idea that the woman he's so enraptured by is the daughter of his sworn enemy.
I loved these characters so much and the development each of them underwent throughout the book. Giana was someone I especially related to and I loved her transformation from a scared, agreeable and rule-obeying daughter to someone who speaks her mind, consequences be damned, and did whatever was necessary to save herself and the man she finds herself falling for. Dante had me sweating through a big chunk of this book - in part because he isn't afraid to get his hands dirty in the mafia realm and also because he has one of the dirtiest mouths (and I love him for it). While I didn't agree with his initial plans for his closeness with Giana, he quickly threw that out because he fell in love and honestly, that makes him even sexier to me. The fact that he was so obsessed that he risked everything to be with her? When would a real man ever?! I also loved how he showed Giana his softer side while also being open and refusing to shield her from the danger she's in because she wouldn't allow it even if it messes with his desire to protect her. The chemistry between these two was INSANE and I loved how their relationship progressed over time.
The ending was a bit obvious based on events that happened earlier on, but I still enjoyed the tension and drama (and I need book 2 DESPERATELY). I highly recommend this for mafia/dark romance fans, and should you find yourself wanting to read this, please check the trigger warnings and be mindful of the content you are consuming.

This was my introduction to Victoria Ellis and I am HOOKED! Dante and Giana are in a Romeo & Juliet situation, but their families are mafia rivals and the two meet in unusual circumstances. Giana is engaged to a member of the cartel and she is desperate for an escape from the life forced upon her. She decides to go to a sex club with her best friend, Remi, and find someone to give her virginity to before she's married off to a horrible man. Enter, Dante. He is the owner of this club and has no idea that the woman he's so enraptured by is the daughter of his sworn enemy.
I loved these characters so much and the development each of them underwent throughout the book. Giana was someone I especially related to and I loved her transformation from a scared, agreeable and rule-obeying daughter to someone who speaks her mind, consequences be damned, and did whatever was necessary to save herself and the man she finds herself falling for. Dante had me sweating through a big chunk of this book - in part because he isn't afraid to get his hands dirty in the mafia realm and also because he has one of the dirtiest mouths (and I love him for it). While I didn't agree with his initial plans for his closeness with Giana, he quickly threw that out because he fell in love and honestly, that makes him even sexier to me. The fact that he was so obsessed that he risked everything to be with her? When would a real man ever?! I also loved how he showed Giana his softer side while also being open and refusing to shield her from the danger she's in because she wouldn't allow it even if it messes with his desire to protect her. The chemistry between these two was INSANE and I loved how their relationship progressed over time.
The ending was a bit obvious based on events that happened earlier on, but I still enjoyed the tension and drama (and I need book 2 DESPERATELY). I highly recommend this for mafia/dark romance fans, and should you find yourself wanting to read this, please check the trigger warnings and be mindful of the content you are consuming.

This is like a darker, modern version of Romeo + Juliet….and Victoria Ellis had me so consumed that when I got to the end I wanted to go back and read it all again.
Giana was such a captivating FMC starting at page one. And I loved that she was innocent and sweet but also strong and badass. She was not weak at all….and she had a lot from her past and even more that gets dumped on her that could have broken her but she never fumbles. And she wears the scars of her story proudly for the journey she travels.
Dante. Oh Dante. I loved that these two are rival families but that Dante comes from the levelheaded, upstanding mafia. He has had a hard past year and he doesn’t play games but boy is his life turned upside down when Giana steps into his radar. And not only can the man dirty talk, be possessive and protective but also say the most beautiful things.
I so enjoyed this book and can’t wait for more in this series!

OMG! Wow, this book had me astounded reading it I just couldn't put the book down, the story had you holding on it was mesmerising and the characters were absolutely captivating. This was an enemies to lovers, arranged marriage, Mafia, Cartel, killings, kidnappings, child abuse family, physical abuse, revenge, rape, gun fight. Two Mafia families have been at war with each other. Giana Amato has been told her marriage has been arranged to the son of the Don of the Cartel, she was not happy so she went to a Sexual Club to choose who to loose her virginity. Dante De Santis is the Capo to his father the Don, the family own a couple of sex clubs and Dante just happened to be there at the time, he went and spoke to her not knowing who she really is. Holy moly this book was HOT! The tension between the two main characters was absolutely SIZZLING. There wasn’t a lack of spicey scenes, but there also wasn’t a lack of story either which was amazing. The story had me gripped and wanting more!
I loved Giana and Dante so much. Dante is just absolutely swoon worthy, and Giana is a very strong- never give up sort of woman. They both have gone through alot… and I enjoyed the way they both started to heal each other from their pasts. These two love each other so deeply, and it’s shown throughout the entire story.
I love a good mafia romance book and this one hits the spot for sure! Featuring an age gap, mafia romance, touch her and ☠️, forbidden love, temperature play, rival families, kidnapping, Dual POV, and arranged marriage- what more could you ask for?
And that CLIFF HANGER AT THE END??? I couldnt believe it, but was also realllly hoping for it! I NEED book two and you will too!

this was an incredible, entertaining and quick read. it’s been a while since i’ve read and enjoyed a dark mafia romance book and i just might be picking up more of them in the upcoming weeks (please check the trigger warnings). there is action, suspense, secrets, violence and slow-burn.

i felt for Giana, rooted for her, since the beginning and cursed every men that made her feel like a piece of trash, like a thing instead of a human being. still she came out stronger than ever despite the way, and by whom, she was raised and how she was treated (or rather mistreated by men in her family) her entire life. listen - i just want her to be happy and stop her suffering.
we learn early on that Dante lost two very important people and now only wants sweet revenge but then he happens to meet Giana at his sex club and the chemistry is just THERE. they both know and it was so great experiencing it from both of their points of view. he may have become the man she needed but still the past is there to haunt him - he can’t fully let go and the way he compares her to his dead wife is why i gave it 4.5⭐️.

I received an ARC for an honest review.
I really enjoyed this book. I devoured it in one afternoon. I feel like it got to the nitty gritty of the whole Mafia trope. It was nice to see a Dante pinning over Giana from the start. I really loved that he wasn’t this alpha hole to her. He was always kind and even when he tried not to be he couldn’t help himself. I loved getting to know him. At first his personality switch from the beginning when they meet and when he’s on his own felt almost like two different people, but as I read on it started to feel much more natural especially when I got to see the way his family was.
My favorite character hands down was Giana. I loved how she was a strong woman throughout the entire book. Everything that she’d gone through in the past made her different from her family, made her kinder, made her more inclined to come into her own. And I loved that Dante wanted that for her too .
I really enjoyed the book. As mentioned, I devoured this in one day.
This is not my first Victoria Ellis book and it’s not going to be my last.

Ruthless Vows is book one of the ‘Til Mafia Do Us Part’ series. This is the first book I have read from this author but it will not be the last!
This book had me riveted from start to finish! It's full of darkness and all things considered wrong but I couldn't stop reading. If that's not a sign of a great book I don't know what is!! There are many topics in this book that could be triggering to some people so please read with caution.
I absolutely love dark and very steamy books and this ticks all the boxes. A great story full of twists and turns, suspense and intrigue. Recommended if dark and steamy Mafia is your genre. It ends on a bit of a cliffhanger and can’t wait for book 2!

This book was fast moving, but in a good way, I was hooked from the gate and was quite literally unable to put it down to the point I finished it in 2 days, I actually fell asleep reading it night 1 and then woke up and started it again almost immediately lol.
I loved the way the author had special pages with helpful terminology and the family trees as well. It was extremely helpful for anybody who may be new to Mafia books and don’t know much about their hierarchy.
This was my first book from this author and I am not at all disappointed and am excited to read more of their work.

Dante and Giana was not supposed to have an incredible connection but that what will make their love a forbidden one. Giana want out of the life she in. Dante is a different story. When she goes to his sex club to lose her virginity, she didn’t expected Dante being the one she wanted. Their journey is filled with twists, fighting, love, laughter and some smut scenes. If to love the retelling of stories than you love this Romeo & Juliet retelling.

This is one of those books that has taken my breath away when I've finished reading it. Yes, it is full of dark and serious triggers often associated with books about BDSM clubs and mafia families, so check before reading. But, it is so well written with feelings and detail on every page. What they are doing, how they are feeling, what the scene around them looks likes, sounds like and tastes like. And I haven't even referred to how sexy, spicy and steamy hot it is! A real guilty pleasure to read, I can't wait for future books in this series...

This was my first time reading a book by this author and she did not disappoint.
I love a good forbidden mafia romance and this hit everything we needed. Dante and Gianna’s attraction was immediate and even after they learn they’re meant to be enemies the love is already there and it’s impossible to give up what they’ve formed.
Dante loved Gianna with all he had and it showed. He always put her first and for a girl who had never had that she deserved to finally be someone’s priority. Gianna was such a sweet soul and it broke my heart how her family treated her and the struggles she faced, I loved seeing how she really blossomed into this strong woman with Dante by her side supporting her.

I love a good forbidden mafia romance and this hit everything we needed. Dante and Gianna’s attraction was immediate and even after they learn they’re meant to be enemies the love is already there and it’s impossible to give up what they’ve formed.
Dante loved Gianna with all he had and it showed. He always put her first and for a girl who had never had that she deserved to finally be someone’s priority. Gianna was such a sweet soul and it broke my heart how her family treated her and the struggles she faced, I loved seeing how she really blossomed into this strong woman with Dante by her side supporting her.

Ruthless Vows is a dark mafia romance that will have you reading all. night. long. I absolutely loved Victoria Ellis’s writing. The book was perfectly planned out and flowed so well. It was also action packed and kept me on my toes! There were zero dull moments. And Dante? Will be your next favorite morally grey mafia man🥵
