Cliches and purple prose notwithstanding, I kept reading hoping to learn something substantive about our historical protagonist. ...to no avail, alas. Abandoned halfway through.

Neat story of a curious woman who attempted to make her own way through a rather rough life. I didn't neccessarily adore this story but it was fun to read.

Reading sort of like an old-fashioned 'celebrity gossip' article, it was interesting to learn more about this Yukon legend.
