Minstrels' Serenade: A Grimm Retelling
Come One, Come All
To Hear the Song,
of a Dog, Donkey, Cat, and Cock;
Minstrels not,
yet hear them sing,
A serenade you'll never forget...
Deep in the heart of the NeverLands lived a little farming village ruled over by a villainous lord. He was as wicked as they came, taking what he wanted without consequence until the day he tried to take a bride, and the cat scratched back.
This is the story of the dog and the cat, the ass and the cock, who decided they were ready to be free of their master's yoke, and the song of how they made it to Bremen.
*This is a fantasy retelling of the Brothers' Grimm The Bremen Town Musicians. No musicians were harmed in the making of this story.
