Horror author C. Dennis Moore returns with this sequel to his Amazon #1 bestseller.
The Angel Hill Bed and Breakfast is open for business. Your home away from home, amenities include private rooms, free wi-fi, home-cooked meals, and whispers in your ear at night, The Lonely Man urging you to join him forever. Just use the straight razor conveniently placed in the bathroom for you. Or the gas oven. Or there’s rope in the basement. Or you can drown yourself in the claw foot tub. The possibilities for a sad and lonely death are endless.
Milo Dengler, the Lonely Man, is still wandering these rooms, and now he wants company.

When Liz Kitch watched Angel Hill disappear in her rearview mirror twelve years ago, she thought that was the last she’d see of this cursed town and the house on Fourth Street. But now, with her husband gone, strange forces are pulling her back to Missouri and the town that has haunted her dreams ever since.
The Angel Hill Paranormal Investigation Society has been seeking the truth in this town for years. So far, every case they’ve tackled has seemed like so much fluff compared to what they’re about to face in the famous house on Fourth Street.
Who will survive their stay in the most haunted house in Angel Hill, and who will join the Lonely Man?

In September of 2017 I came across C Dennis Moore’s writing and the second of his works that I read was The Third Floor, a horror novel that set me on a reading course that has now spanned an additional 80 titles. Over the course of reading all these stories & books I revisited that house on 4th street in Angel Hill several times, and each time I revisited that house through Mr. Moore’s stories I hoped it wouldn’t be the last visit all the while I hoped Angel Hill would demolish that cursed house. So fast forward to 2023 and Mr. Moore has released the sequel to The Third Floor novel - The Third Floor 2: Suicide House.
This latest story about the house isn’t just an excellent horror story it is a character study of several people I have met in several earlier stories and their latest interactions with the house. Their stories and interactions when they are all brought together make for a story that rivals the original as my favorite. While sequels should be as good as the original, this one is a perfect bookend to the tale of that damn house. However, once again I truly hope this isn’t my final visit to the house though Mr. Moore’s stories. I received an Advance Reader Copy of this book from the author and chose to provide my review.
The Third Floor 2: Suicide House (Angel Hill novels), my eighty-eighth read from author C. Dennis Moore. A 329-page read with that distinctive Moore flavor. The original The Third Floor: an Angel Hill novel #1 was published back in 2012 and was followed by several short works over the years that always left the reader wanting more. I always look forward to the next work from him. “I received a free Kindle copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. In fact, the book was so good I bought a copy when it was released. Next up Return to Angel Hill: A Will Castleton Novel (Will Castleton (Paranormal Detective). (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
