I first read this book just months before my 20th birthday and found it good, though slightly overwhelming as I looked to the future. Six years later I have just finished it again, this time feeling encouraged and challenged in the role that I have joyfully been following. Jennifer is very practical and loving in sharing her heart, and touches on all these subjects with grace and humility. Needing some encouragement in these days of singleness? Pick up Jennifer's book and you are sure to find some as you strive to live out God's call for your life.

Every unmarried girl should read this, some of it is not “new” news to any of us but it instills the value of who we are as “His Chosen Bride” and what we should be doing with these years so they are not a waste. It was an encouragement to me as well.

This is one of the best books I've ever read! Jennifer does an incredible job of showing single women how to apply Proverbs 31 to their lives. It focuses on our relationship with our Prince Jesus and how we can better serve Him and love Him completely. Strongly consider reading it!!

Was very good and practical. Unlike most books on Proverbs 31, this book applies verses to the single girl in her relationship to God, and also to preparing for life as a wife. Especially liked the chapter on "doing your husband well ALL the days of your life."

Several years ago two friends and I did a book study on this book. It stimulated many good discussions on how we as single young women can best live our lives for Christ. Jennifer lamp wisely applies the principles of Proverbs 31 and teaches girls/single women first, how to honour God, and second, how to honour their (future) husbands.

Liked this when I was 16, but I have the sneaky suspicion that--judging by the front cover--I shouldn't have.
