Robert Cooper explains how the connection between Rosslyn Chapel and the Freemasons is nothing but a legend. He takes the time to point out how people have, for a variety of reasons, confused operative stonemasons with speculative Freemasons and have assumed that Scottish Freemasonry is the same as Freemasonry in other parts of the world.

I still want to visit Rosslyn Chapel, but I want to see it for its true history and grandeur and not because of any Masonic connection.

Excellent book that replaces a lot of fantastic theory with substantiated fact. The only thing I have against it is that the style is pretty dry.
