I had to give up on this one, sadly. There are very few books (almost none) on dealing with a spouse's depression, so I latched onto this one. I actually have tried to read it about four times, and only got significantly into it this time. Sadly, I found out that the couple writing the book did eventually get divorced, and that kind of ruined it for me. (that and repeated descriptions of the husband's penile pain. Eesh.)

Although the message of home & faith to overcome depression are strong, some of the chapters are too drawn out.

This was a personal story for Emme and her husband dealing with his physical illness that never seemed to get diagnosed and caused him to spiral into a deep depression. It shares both sides of the coin and how each of them coped with this struggle. I think it helps to give hope to anyone who may be feeling those struggles to know that you're not alone and that it can be overcome.
