Before long, legendary and mythical monsters from around the world are showing up on his doorstep proclaiming Rip as RIP, M.D.— Monster Doctor !

RIP, M.D. is the first collaboration between the independent animation studio Lincoln Butterfield, who’s producing the graphic novel, and Fantagraphics Books, who’s publishing it. 88 pages of color comics
My girlfriend got this for me as a Halloween gift. Yeah, we're a little weird. This book was just perfect for me, though. I loved all the classic horror references. It's a little kiddie, but that's easy to get over. Just too much fun. I hope this is the beginning of a series.
I really didn't like this book. There were some interesting ideas, but the repeated dated references which passed as humour and the poor layouts sucked out any good will I had for this book.
4 stars for originality, 3 stars for a confusing me about a key plot point near the end. I would definitely pick up a second in the series, if they ever make one.
