It is essentially a much lighter version of “Code: The Hidden Language of Computer Hardware and Software” by Charles Petzold. It does talk about a few things differently and on its own is a decent introduction to the ideas behind computers and worth a read if you’re curious but having read the aforementioned book prior to reading this one, I personally did not learn anything profoundly new.

Good entry level book. Really helped me fully understand abstraction. Nice slow and easy pace.
