I was so enamoured and intrigued I think I finished it in a little more than 24 hours. I am not a beginner, but I think the first few chapters were not presented in a way conducive to memory. The author summarized the basic literature on the elements in clumps of essays that I found it hard to read. However I liked howw he re-iterated memorization of the structure beforehand, which is wise.
Overall I liked the examples given, although I thought some were an unnecessary repetition. For instance, if an example of X star was given for a female chart, he did not have to present an exact same example for the X star for a male chart. I would have appreciated a breadth of examples.
This taught me about rootedness and non-rootedness, which to me is an important concept. Overall, great book!
