My 7 yr old wasn't interested in reading this but I knew he would like it once I started. Sure enough, within about 3 seconds of starting it, he was insisting on reading sound effects, etc. This is a really nice easy-to-read version of the first cross-country car trip and its significance. Kids will love reading about the trip from the dog's perspective. :)
