Gleeful teaching of counting concepts, accompanied by blithesome illustrations, make this a charming educational book for young mathematicians.

Kids learn to count by 10s, going all the way up to 100.

Stories alternate with counting practice. For instance:

Ten tired monarchs [butterfilies] have flown a long way.
They have come to the woods to find branches to rest on.
Count the monarchs by tens:
10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70.

FIVE STARS for a clever, clever, encouraging book.
