Book one of the three-part series. It was the instant message that ruined everything. Avery was lots of things: an honor student, a best friend, a normal teenage girl. Never in her life did she imagine she'd add "cyber-terrorist" to the list. Avery is approached by two strangers on the internet, one claiming to be with the government, and another claiming to be with an activist group that just wants to make the city a better place. Avery struggles with the decisions of who to trust and what actions to take to keep her hometown safe, all while keeping the whole thing a secret from her parents.
