Ned Herrmann s widely acclaimed book traces the scientific and historical basis of his innovative Whole BrainÂÂ Thinking approach. Filled with personal anecdotes, data, useful charts and practical, easy-to-apply models, it will inspire and entertain readers while showing them how to enhance creativity at both the individual and organizational levels.
The book presents the idea of the 4 different splits of the brain and their implication in the work life. It has a lot of selling for the HBDI test as well as the course that helps you take action based on your dominant types. Furthermore, the book has a lot of the author's personal story which illustrates some of the points. There are useful bits that you can get and apply from the book. To get the useful bit you need to read throughout the whole book (it's 400+ pages and each page is almost double standard page) and pay attention to what goes where. Overall, I found the idea of the 4 different types and that we need to learn to bridge the gaps between them interesting. Some of the examples are also helpful in achieving it.
