Survival is not easy when you don't have anybody to support you or love you.
Surviving on rules made by someone else, living a life with obligations, fighting a battle of your misconception, and living for someone else's dreams by pushing behind your own are the most difficult battles one faces.
Laksh, Srishti, and their gang are stuck in an unwanted commitment where they are involved in the most dangerous task of drug distribution. They are not doing it willingly but they don't have any other option as they are orphans and their master is their godfather. But life is unpredictable and nobody could tolerate it for a lifetime. But this industry and this work don't allow anyone to leave it and go at any point in time. But they were not aware of what was coming their way.
This is my first read by the author and I quite enjoyed it, the flow was apt, though it's a short story but it's totally impressive and interesting. The emotional trauma, torture, and dangerous life-threatening events the protagonists go through are fantastically written and presented. A well-planned and well-presented story.

It is a fantastic tale of mystery, drama, and thrill accompanied by love, friendship, and emotional affections woven by the author.
The plot revolves around the mysterious and enthralling revelations of the lives of Srishti and Laksh as they find themselves stuck deep into the bloody network of drug distribution and gang wars.
"If you are right, help will find its way to you even if you find helplessness in the air you breathe." This was my favourite capture throughout the read! I loved the way the author has narrated the emotional aspects of characters while they fight through mysterious crimes!
It was quite a thought-provoking read, and I'd surely recommend it to my fellow readers.

Recently my friend recommended this amazing book named 'Panacea' by author Anushka Mehta and I must admit that it is an excellent book.
When I read the blurb of the book, I got a hint of the awesomeness of this book.
Without giving any spoiler let me tell you guys about the plot and the protagonist of the story.
The Story revolves around the lives of Srishti, Laksh and some other orphans.
All of them found themselves trapped in drug distribution.
Here the author shows the true reality of these people who are stuck in these kind of situations— they do not have the right to choose the way of living, They are forced to do whatever the drug dealer tell them to do and they do it without knowing the dangerous consequences of the actions.
But this is a story that actually shows some Ray of hope in the dark phase —
Srishti and Laksh, our protagonist, are not someone who will be settled in this horrifying life. Their fight to get a happy life is shown amazingly in the story.
This frictional story gives us a strong message that it is only the circumstances that made human beings lead a bad life. Because no human is born as bad.
The book has many aspects— drama, crime, Romance, struggle and what not! I must say this book is a real page turner.
The writing style of the author is so lively that it felt like watching a movie while reading the book.
If I have to talk about the language of the book, I must say that the language is really lucid and easily understandable.
All the characters of this book are well developed and the story is written by maintaining the pace.
It is surely an unputdownable book that everyone will enjoy.

Some book ,some stories remain in our core of the heart forever and left a mark in our mind. " Panacea : The Gang Story " by Anushka Mehta is such a story which left a mark in my mind. Though the discussion of the story line in such a book where many surprises are waiting after turning the pages , I personally don't like. As it destroys the author's effort and spoiler is never a great experience for me. However the story line revolves around Srishti and Laksh, two individuals who find themselves entangled in an undesirable commitment involving the perilous trade of drugs.
What was the reason ? How they face the situation and many more to discover and to do that you should grab a copy of this book.
One of the stand out aspects of the book lies in its exploration of the characters' internal struggles. Srishti and Laksh's fight for freedom and their willingness to sacrifice everything for love is beautifully depicted. The pacing is well-balanced, with moments of tension and introspection interspersed throughout the narrative, keeping readers hooked and eager to discover what happens next. When I picked up the book, I wasn’t expecting that it will be packed with such intense twists. But all the incidences were lined up in such a way that it will prick your curiosity. When I read the first page of this book, I came to know that today I will not be able to complete this book as I got some other work because, by the first page, only I was intrigued to complete the book in one sitting which was not possible so I started again next day and yes I was not able to put it down even for a second.
My adrenaline in the whole book was at its peak and I was feeling like I am understanding the characters very well and I was diving into their world.
The book is about a gang, who stays together at any cost but they are not at all connected by blood. They are connected because of Rishi. I will not spill the bin about Rishi but I will go for my favorite character of the book.
Shrishti and Lakshya were indeed the centres of the book but I loved Liz. She just felt like my spirit character from this book.
Other than all these people there are many different characters and I must say, no one has hero hair here but Yes there is a spark of love in between these grey characters where the villain can kill someone if they touch their girl and that is what I loved about this book.

While everyone lives under one roof, they are all very determined about what they are doing and also, they know what happens when they leave the gang and all. It’s not a safe world for them, but still, under Rishi, they know that he will protect them at all cost.
When everything went smoothly, as they all planned, but one person, whose name is Samar, in the house, he went out, joined another gang who is a rival of theirs. From there, the story will be more interesting to read and the consequences of what he did, now everyone needs to face it.
They know what is going to happen but they need to prepare for it. It’s kind of action and crime story to read, the second phase of the story is intriguing, as well as emotional one to read, while reading we can see everyone in the story has their own set of mindset that, how they can protect themselves, but when people are losing each other, they just watch, because they are helpless to take care, because first they need to find shelter and safe themselves. Go for it, it's a good one to read, it will definitely entertain for sure.

The author has shown beautiful relationship of the main characters, Srishti and Laksh.Author has also shown harsh reality through their forced marriage.Love is not easy and you need to constantly fight for it. Author has beautifully portrayed this through these characters.

The best time to transform a person into a slave is when he / she abandoned and strives for food in the street alone with a dead hope to live longer. The opportunist like 'Rishi' the biggest supplier in Kolkata knows the trick from the very beginning and used it for his own good in building his castle the way he desires just by providing food, and shelter to a group of abandoned or orphaned children to whom life wasn't much fair in providing the necessities they deserved.
Eroticism is the key that the author has used in unlocking the plot throwing a bunch of characters deeply fried in sensuality, rivalry and hunger for the unseen. As the 1st chapter has promised the readers to provide the crunchy flavour every now and then the author managed to keep the promise and along with it provided the tale where he showcased the dark world lingered in used syringes, drug addicts and betrayers roaming all around.
It's like a movie and I personally took time to absorb all the flavour though it's a short read.

From the title anyone kind of guess it will be a thrilling, action packed story. And it is. But at the same time it's a story of Laksh, Srishti and a gang of orphans who knowingly and somehow unknowingly get themselves into the world of drugs cartel. And what happens when they wants get out the delusions they are living in.
The plot is interesting, mysterious, thrilling, full of drama, emotions, love , friendships with found family. A whole package I would say. And the book is also only 134 pages. So quick, fast paced read.
I love the main characters Laksh and Srishti, their romance, their love for each other and understanding is shown in these little book beautifully.
Also the hardships of these orphans, the friendships, the bond, trust also portrays vividly and especially the fight for freedom, hope to start anew.
I literally fly through the book in one sitting, and enjoy every part of it. So definitely like to recommend to everyone, if you're looking for a short fast thrilling at the same time emotional read.

You'll remain engaged in this book from start to finish, thus I definitely suggest it. There are many different emotions expressed in simple language. The main characters of the novel are the orphaned gang of Laksh, Srishti, and the others, who were forced to distribute drugs against their will because of their orphanage. The uncertainties of life's future were unknown to them. By analysing the difficult battle against one's own delusions and the effort to live beyond one's wants, the book offers a profound knowledge of the human psyche. Its examination of the characters' inner conflicts is one of the book's most notable features. It is eloquently illustrated how willing Srishti and Laksh are to give up all for love.
It is inspiring and thought-provoking to read about the author's examination of the human spirit and fortitude in the face of adversity.
My first experience with this author, and I found the flow to be pretty enjoyable.

Panacea:is a captivating story which takes readers into journey of love, revenge and struggle and survival. It talks about the underworld and the drug mafia, It also reveals dark secrets of the drug mafia's.
The story revolves around Shrishti, an orphan, who was taken off the streets as a child by, Rishi, who was biggest supplier of drugs in Kolkata. All orphans are forced into the drugs business. I really got connected with this read.
While reading this book I can imagine the situation of these orphans who are forced to do such things.It throws light on their situations.The characters are well developed. you will feel connected with them.I love the whole story which is plotted very well.
Author has done fantastic job in writing this story. Language of the book is simple.Narration was really amazing. You will feel connected.

Panacea is a thrilling story. Srishti and Laksh, the two people in love, are the ones whom the story revolves around. Shrishti was the orphan who was taken by Rishi in Kolkata. There were five other children along with her, with whom she became close. Being set in an underworld where there is a competition between John and Rishi's group, the children did not know the dangers that they were able to encounter.
This book is sure to leave a long-lasting impact on the readers. The writing is captivating, making the readers go in awe. The character design and the plot are brilliant. The book involves a blend of emotions like suspense, mystery, bonding, emotions, etc. My favorite one was the unbreakable bond between the kids taken by Rishi, as it was described really well. The twists were unexpected, and it made the book much better.
