The motionless form of a giant of Gath lay face down on the battlefield of Shochoh and blood from his forehead seeped into the earth below his face. The great intimidator Goliath, champion of Philistia, lay motionless. His terrifying words had ceased. A smooth stone from a shepherd boy?'s sling was embedded in his skull. Goliath was finished. For the shepherd boy David, it was a giant-sized step into the awesome place of destiny that God had ordained for him. It was a step from obscurity and rejection to kingly dominion, fame and wealth, global and eternal influence. It was a step that was ultimately felt as Messiah took His place in history establishing His Kingdom on Earth. Like David, an army of giant killers has been prepared by God for this hour. Often with small flocks and in lonely places of isolation, rejection and insignificance, this body of men, women, boys and girls is receiving its training for the most fruitful, significant time ever planned for world history. The giants we face are not going to destroy us. We are not their prey. They are ours. They are food for us. They are to be swallowed up by God?'s anointed champions, by the mighty power indwelling us. They are our breakfast, strengthening our resolve to step up to each new day.Giant Killers will empower YOU, the everyday believer as YOU take on the Giants that YOU face in life. On the first glance, I was immediately attracted by the title of the book. And I immediately bought the book after Pastor Tim Hall in church.
One thing good about this book was it listed relevant obstacles in our life that hindered us from pursuing God or following His will. When the moment I read it, I was literally awed and relieved as it answered few of my doubts in life. I loved how Ps. Tim put his testimonies of healing the sick, especially seeing cancerous tumours and physical disabilities were healed in Jesus' name and His power.
By relating to Halls' testimonies, he cleverly illustrated few biblical characters in different chapters so I had a rough idea of how they had overcome their giants regardless how intimidating and difficult life would be. One thing I loved how Ps. illustrated audacious faith in Caleb. Despite his age, his faith was so audacious and strong enough to believe he and the rest of the eleven men to conquer the promise land (Land of Canaan) God had desired for the Israelites.
Overall, I would recommend this book but it's better to read it with the Bible in order to have a big picture of the situation.
It is such an amazing book!! I totally loved reading it. It has given me a lot of motivation and an open mind in many areas in life and my own personal walk with Christ. I truly recommend this book to EVERYONE
