When her husband leaves her for another woman, a stodgy mother of two restarts her friendship with the town's bad boy, who himself is trying to woo (long distance) the girl he thinks he's impregnated. I enjoyed this book and its portrayal of small town life, although it does have the feel of a later book in a series.
