It has been a long time on the trail for friends Steve Dancy, Jeff Sharp and Captain Joseph McAllen and we have been from 1879-1897. What a ride! Lots of new inventions during this time and they have become rich. For this story, old enemies come out of the woodwork intent on revenge and breaking them of that money. McAllen's daughter and her family to start it going. The friends might be old, but they haven't lost any of their toughness. Very solid completion to this very interesting series.

Another excellent read

Each time a new book comes out I thinkther isno way itcantop what came before but the author proves me wrong. This is another example of his writing genius. Great readwith all the action and adventure we have come to expect. My only complaint is the long time between books.

Three stars, not for the story but for the editing. The story was a decent wrap for the series, though the seven earlier books were far superior. The editor of this one was clearly napping throughout. Everybody misses now and again, but here I felt like I kept tripping on the sidewalk. "Calvary" for "Cavalry" was the full-on face plant.
