The writing is so-so but the illustrations are decent and it's always nice to see kid's books featuring POC.

Our pediatrician gave us this book (at our nine month appointment?), and it is our other favorite animal book (besides Moo, Baa, Lalala!). We loved hearing Mommy make all the funny animal noises, and learned all of them between about 12 months and 15 months. Although the rhymes aren't particularly creative, the "What does the X say?" on each one was a perfect prompt for us to know when to chime in. This is a sentimental favorite of Mommy's.

This was awesome for Abby to learn animal sounds and the names of animals. Short and sweet.
