I took two database classes in the past year, with one building on the other. This was the book for the first class, and as a user and creator of tables, this was the far superior book. The second class used Silberschatz, Korth, and Sudarshan, Database System Concepts, 7th Edition, McGraw Hill, 2020 ISBN-13: 978-0078022159 and that was too deep for what I needed as a business student and not a computer science guy. The other book was so much that I found myself going back to this one because it was better laid out and explained things more clearly.
