About the author

Erinn Banting is a writer, editor and photo researcher who lives and works in Toronto. She has worked on a range of material from non-fiction books for children to a current series. In her spare time Erinn also writes for adults who need help expressing themselves in a business development and sales environment. She is also an amateur photographer and collects and records vintage pieces and histories that pertain to Canadian heroes and heritage.

Exact same format as the Deserts one I just read, 32 pages with selected topics on each two-page spread. Good pictures and legible words since it's meant for kids, and a good jumping point for more research, but still a lot shorter than I was thinking it would be and not as specific as I was looking for. The maps are really the most helpful part for me, showing where each biome is located throughout the globe.
