The epic clash of good and evil continues in The Sundering Veil, book two of Marc Bolda’s Winner trilogy. At the conclusion of book one, the villain, Gidfel, had tapped into a source of immense power. We soon learn that this power has its own will and is driven by hateful and destructive impulses. With the assistance, or possibly at the behest, of this dark power, Gidfel accumulates a potent arsenal and searches for the ultimate weapon - one that will eradicate humanity. The only people who can stop Gidfel are Martin Slice and his friends. However, Slice is diverted from his mission when he traverses the sundering veil between this world and an alternate realm called Tärfarin. Before long, Slice learns that Tärfarin, with its vivid history and mythology, is also threatened by a sinister darkness.

The Sundering Veil is an exhilarating and entertaining mix of science, action, fantasy and philosophy. Marc Bolda demonstrates his superior storytelling abilities by creating convincing characters and crafting an extraordinary alternate world. He also stages action sequences in exotic locations such as the Giza pyramids, a Siberian lair, and a remote research station in Antarctica. This is an imaginative and gripping adventure – one that you will be glad you set out on. Bring on book three!

Book One took us around the world. Book Two takes us around again and more as our hero, Martin Slice, is transported to another realm in this sweeping story. Bolda’s tale of multi-dimensional intrigue grows tighter in this volume as the characters work through the mystery that’s reeking Armageddon on earth and beyond. With fiendish female assassins, sonic armory that explodes heads and sensory deprivation tanks, the Winner Trilogy heats up here. The expectations going into Book Three are now high.

Winner: The Sundering Veil is the action packed continuation of Martin's quest to save the world. He, along with the rest of the Four, find themselves in faraway places with danger lurking around every corner from the menacing Gidfel and the beast he created in Winner: The Awakening. The reader will eagerly anticipate what is to come next with every page turn. There are some big twists in Book 2.
