Quick, fun read (even though parts of the story are ridiculous - It still shows good problem solving and team building). There's no real reason to read this unless the movie is unavailable to watch.

I borrowed this book from my 5th grade classroom and never returned it, I loved it so much! I didn't even realize it was a novelization (despite it saying so on the cover lol) until coming across a VHS copy at Value Village a few years later. Honestly, while I enjoyed the movie it did ruin the magic of the book for me a bit.

The story was, of course, ridiculous...but made total sense at the time lol. I just loved it..that is all.

Loved this novelization into shreds as a child. I believe I got it from a school book club. I may or may not have ever finally seen the movie—but it’s so vivid in my mind from this book.
