"What drives men at sea to commit mutiny-to murderously rebel against superior officers and risk their own lives? Mutinies is an exhaustive investigation of twenty-three of the world's most infamous uprisings at sea, from the earliest days of ocean exploration to the present. Investigating the circumstances and motivations that drive seamen to overthrow authority and commit extreme crimes, Barry Stone uncovers the fascinating stories behind some of maritime history's most treacherous acts. Pirate stories from a second rate writer. They're not Jack Sparrow material, and the cover won't let you make high hopes.

Certainly interesting. I already knew about the Bounty mutiny....and that was the limit of my knowledge on the subject! Very interesting insight into conditions that sailors lived in - appalling, right up to the mid-20th century!
