One kiss completes the bond—the alpha’s mate hunted as a lycan witch.

Everyone knows not to cross Gideon Disantollo, the dangerous alpha of the Silver Wolf Pack, and every witch knows not to enter his territory… But gambling in his bar lands me bitten and changed, and I quickly realize Gideon is the only one I can turn to.

Because I never expected to be hunted by both sides—my coven and the lycan council. And I definitely didn’t expect my mother to lead the hunt.

Now, I'm desperately trying to control the growing powers within me—the witch’s ancient fire and my wolf, who grows stronger with each day spent near our mate—as I hunt for the dark witch guarding the Lockwood Forest wishing well.

And I have to do something about this mate bond between me and Gideon… before it’s too late for us both.

“I’m the villain, and I’ll burn the whole world down, sacrifice every innocent life in this world, just to save your soul.”

Not an arc for once- genuine KU read and currently live!

Lycan Witch picks up right from Bitten Witch. I loved the first book of this series, it’s a light quick read and I’d totally rec that if anyone sees this review. I mean the first book is only around 174 pages and I just wanted to read more. The second is a little longer at 184.

Adara is our FMC, in the first book, she lives in the coven with her sister and her mother- who in nice words, absolutely sucks. She finds herself in a spot of bother when she’s found sneaking into the local shifter bar, gambling and cheating her way into winning. Why? She needs the money to send her sister to a private witching school so she can get the training she needs. Her Ma though? The absolute tool she is, does everything she can to stop that from happening.

Insert Gideon. Mr Alpha over here has a bad temper, doesn’t trust easy and is forever unamused by the people around him.

This book focuses on Adara’s adaptation to becoming a wolf knowing that everyone is out to kill her. They all want to prevent her from becoming what she’s truly capable of. With the help of Gideon she’s working on the trauma she’s carried for years thanks to her mother. He cracks through her interior and she finally lets him in, despite the hate she has for herself at the possibility that she will be his downfall.

All in all, I think it’s a good read. My only major gripe is that I wish it was longer! If you want shifters, witches, found family and 🌶️🌶️🌶️, this book will be right up your street.

Look I tried my best to give this book a shot because I really like the concept of witch Shifters, but the story is all over the place. It's nothing against the author but I think maybe a rewrite and condensing the books to a Trilogy or even a duology would help clean them up. We've had no substantial progression between the two main characters, yet supposed to believe that they are falling in love. I hate stories that rely on a fated bond to justify romance. I'd rather see the ways the characters help each other, learn to trust each other and then the love clicking into place and them being happy that they are mates. I liked Adaras visions, if they weren't a bit confusing when they took place. I liked her accidently burning him when she was overwhelmed and him comforting her. I liked that she was pissed off at him for pulling her out of the bar when she could make more money for her sisters tuition because she grew up with a financially(amongst other things) abusive mother, yet I didn't like that Gideon didn't just explain that she was in danger. He's so hot and cold with her, my brain keeps pulling me out of the story.

As some background- I was quite disapointed with the first book as it felt nothing really happened for most of the book. Pacing was horrible and characters lacked depth. There were no characters you love as both main characters were lacking. Author failed to build a world that sucks readers in. The world building left much to be desire. Book 1 would of benefited from more background as to the hatred of witch and werewolves. Most of what the author shares is from Adara's perspective someone who is young, doesnt know much of the history and is not privy to insider information as she was an outsider in the witch community.

Book 2 - I decide to take a chance and it was alot better, the plot progressed and the story line developed. The character depth is still not there but this can be classified as a book you read once if you have extra time and never think about again. We've all had those books where characters are so loved we think of their story years later. This will not be one of those books.

Overall would not recommend the series. It honestly feels as if it was orginally book that was split into three to try feels strech it out but not sure if many will read past the first book when most of it was setting up the story but nothing note worthy happened.

I don't really have a review just notes:
-The covers are beautiful
-The characters are lacking depth
-The world building isn't really sucking me in
-The author can clearly write, and has a nice style but the characters and dragging of the plot is making it hard to see
-This could've been one book why is there a third one??
-I understand that realistically, this is how victims of abuse act, and this is how the thought process is but the character throughout the book makes me want to slam my head against a wall. Like believe in yourself, a little bit??
-Finally a sex scene I was tired of waiting for it...why didn't he just claim her right there and then
-The plot is good just dragged out
-Monique is still very much horrible. Like Cinderella's step mother and Mother Gothel combined. On max level.
-I like the side characters, excited to see Frank getting his own book.
-Glad Jules was able to get into the academy
-Looking forward to hopefully the last book with these two characters, really hoping to see Adara put some fight up

oh my heart

Yep… Monique needs to die. Horribly. I’ve also decided I really like Chloe. Ok, so things are getting hot. Literally. Adara is burning things left and right, spells are being cast causing issues with Gideon. The crazy psycho wanna be jealous lover lady is nuts. Yeah, Armarin and Rathman both need to die as well. However, with all their evil, Adara leads she has a family. A real one. Even if it isn’t blood, they’re 10 times more awesome than her maniacal mother. There’s a bit of torture that I must say didn’t shock me. I don’t think Adara realizes, and I guess she just always made excuses, how evil her mother is. But boy did she get some serious wake up calls and some truths. She’s finally learning that her wolf counterpart is cooler than she thought. Kaylus is still my fave but Jaz is a close second. Frank and Mila and Maddie and Chloe all get A+’s too. I also now have to wait for book 3 with that ending and I’m dying!!!

This was definitely another 5⭐️ read for me I read it so quickly as I really enjoyed the first one as well and I was excited for the second!, The mating bond between Gideon and Adara is literally a dream 😍I highly recommend this book if you love
Romance
Fated Mates
Enemies to lovers
Morally Grey
Touch her and Die!

I despise Monique like never hated a character more they way she attacked Gideon so he can’t shift, move, or hear his wolf and they say she treats Adara she’s just an evil witch!.

when Gideon calls Adara little witch and “mia fiamma”😍

Gideon - “Darling, we both know exactly who you are, and I would love to watch the world burn into ashes at your feet. Hell, I’d give you the lit match if you needed it. But we both know you’d lay flames only to protect those you love.”

I’ve looked for many fated and paranormal books that could hold my attention on KU and this one is the one . I read in a breeze ! I didn’t know book three was not out yet , but I will definitely be reading that as soon as it get out .

Adara has a sad past and a horrible mother but she does so much for the one she loves.

Gideon also has a traumatic past before turning into a wolf but also does so much to keep everyone safe .. and away from the witches he hates with a passion.

Witch/wolf and Alpha wolf fated mates .. what more could one want . I can’t wait to read the rest and finally see adara and Gideon have a happy ending.

Surrounded by enemies

Too much is going on and Adara is still not any closer to mastering her wolf or her powers, which isnt helpful when you have enemies at all sides. Although I am glad Gideon and Adara finally take things to the next level in their relationship. I feel they take one step forward then Adara takes 5. steps back. Hoping she gets it together in the next book and finally shows everyone what she's made of.

This is the 2nd book in the series I am reading because it is full of action, with lots of sexual tension too and I love the way it gives both sides of the story. I look forward to the 3rd book and I feel like this author has a good future in front of her.

Better

This one was more like a book than the first, but it still ended awkwardly. The back and forth of emotions and commitment in Adara are still annoying. Monique is still horrible. Addy is still stupid. The end.

This book was captivating and had sooo many twists and turns. Adara is slow to believe in herself. But that is realistic. It takes time to heal trauma. And the love between her and Gideon is a gem to watch. I can't wait to start reading the 3rd book tonight.

Plot twist

It was kind of annoying to stay but gets better the more I read. So, I will be moving into the next book in the series. Love a good series, and so far, this is a good one.

kind of annoying

The MMC throws his whiskey glass at the wall a lot apparently.. and other things. Between that and the fmc being the martyr and wishy washy I started skimming a lot. Not sure if I’ll read the rest.
