I really like the informative part at the beginning that talks about the different breads from each part of the world. I feel like it's not really for a beginner, although the directions in the front are very helpful for any beginning Baker. The recipes themselves can be a bit advanced for someone that has not baked much bread yet, and a little bit intimidating. I have used it more thoroughly over the years as I became more adept at bread baking.

I have never before seen a cookbook that has a bread machine recipe for CROISSANTS! Especially chocolate filled--yum!

A very complete informative book on everything bread. This book could easily replace all the other books you have about bread on your shelf. It would make a good gift for a beginning baker.
