Always enjoyable to read essays by one of the greats. & interesting to see how early discussions of things like "the fiscal multiplier" worked. Still, some of the earlier essays are excessively wordy, especially as they just attempt to arrive at the estimate of a single number... many do not cite sources.

Keynes's thoughts on Versailles are also very insightful and history definitely bears him out on the treaty being beyond Germany's ability to pay. Much of this is based on detailed work estimating Germany's financial capacity. Still, some is just very subjective takes based on news articles about the motivations and capabilities of different players (e.g. Woodrow Wilson).
