Based on a 3-year-long investigation, this book claims that Brian Jones of the Rolling Stones did not die accidentally but instead was murdered. Other work by the author includes " The Unauthorisd Biography of Paul McCartney", and "Rod Vagabond Heart".
I enjoyed reading this book when it came out back in the 90s. Its a good rockumentary about Brian Jones, the pioneer of the Rolling Stones and how he lived his life in the spotlight and decandece of the 60s.
It also informs the reader that Brian was murdered instead of the known fact that it was a drug overdose/drowning.
Being a Stones fan I bought this as soon as it came out. It's a good read but it loses some stars because it's just kind of conjecture as to how exactly Brian drowned and who knows if the anonymous guy interviewed in the book was really there and really saw what happened. His death definitely could've happened the way he described it but ultimately who knows?
Good read if you were there at the time. Interestingly the person that the finger pointed at in this book admitted to the murder on his death bed, allegedly.
