Trinity is nursing a broken heart, and she is on the brink of becoming a recluse until her ex-best friend, Towanda, shows up, begging for her help. A copycat killer is on the loose, targeting the Sisters of Clarity Coven and claiming they are guilty of a horrible crime While broadcasting their trials and executions on live television. The assailant promises to stop the attacks if the coven apologizes for the crime, but the only problem is that none of the coven members know what their transgressions are. To add to the confusion, Trinity has to work alongside the beautiful witch, Neema, she struggles to resist the powerful attraction between them.
As Trinity navigates through the evidence, she uncovers secrets that the coven wants to keep hidden. Can she help solve the mystery while resisting Neema’s charms, or will she be consumed by the flames of passion and the threat of death?
Trinity cannot catch a break and this last case along with the Easton situation is breaking her. Heartbreak, heartache, and body aches are all she knows right now. This all has her spiraling into a deep depression. Binge drinking and not caring about anything is how she is barely living now. The witches come to her for help by sending her former best friend to seek it. The good thing out of this is she reconnects with someone from her past that helps her get on the right path. There is a copy cat redeemer who is now after the witch coven and they’re out for revenge. Trinity reluctantly does what she does best by communicating with the dead and solving the mystery/case even to detriment of her physical and emotional health. You can never question her dedication. This book was an excellent read and ended with my mouth on the floor! Guard your heart Trinity!
Why is trinity sleeping with every supernatural she works with? She worked with the wolf she slept with alpha, she worked with vampires and slept with the boss, now she slept with a member of the coven. Oh I forgot she slept with the new police officer she worked with! This girl has proven that she can’t keep her pants on and be professional. No wonder her old sps partner’s wife didn’t trust her around her husband. Lolll mind you after a few days of having sex with them she thinks she is in love! Jesus what a hopeless romantic. Imma keep reading the rest of the sequel but ugh this was such a huge eye roll for me. The whole time I was reading this I was like this 🙄 here we go again.
It seems like Trinity has finally found someone that just may be perfect for her. $15k wasn't nearly enough for the Coven's craziness. Elijah really gets on my nerves lol. Like move on and leave Trin alone already. I have been waiting for them to touch on more with the witches, and she finally did. I would love to know more about them all. Wonder what's up with Sam?? One more book left, and we're out of supes. I missed Raymond in this boo, but hopefully he's in the finale.
So much has happened in CoS! To Trinity (she really was going through it), her relationships with others, a new relationship, and someone wanting to start back up again. That ending! Shocked! And I really liked the storyline and the witches involved. A good mystery that got solved. This was so good! Another favorite. Can’t wait for book 6, Fate of Vengeance.
Doesn’t explain who used blood magic, why, and why neema’s mom was killed. The worst book of the series. Eden kills herself without explaining anything. Griselda and Sam know a lot but say nothing. I do hope trinity finds herself first then gets with Elijah in the next book.
I realized this series is very frustating, there is only so much bad things that can happen back to back. Also why does she have a new love interest in every book. Why cant she be alone to heal.
When she finally decides to move on with her life and leave Elijah comes back saying he wants her back. I wanted to punch him in the face. I really hope she says no.
Trinity and the heavy drinking, and now she is with Neimo? 🫣 The spice is not what I expected at all, but I guess 🫣 It was nice of trinity to help the witches coven (for a fee 🙂↔️) but who’s better to do it but trinity 🙂↕️ let’s see what the next book brings….
