Invasive Technification: Critical Essays in the Philosophy of Technology
Technology has extended its reach to the human
body, not just in a literal sense, through implants, transplants and
technological substitutes for biological organs, but in a more figurative sense
too. Technological infrastructure and the institutions of a technified society today
determine what perception is, how we communicate and what forms of human
relationship with the natural world are possible. A fundamental new conception
of technology is urgently needed. Technology can no longer be seen as a means
for efficiently attaining pre-established ends. Rather, it must be seen as a total structure which makes new forms of
human action and human relationship possible, while limiting the possibilities
of others.

Gernot Böhme
76 books5 followersGernot Böhme (born 3 January 1937, in Dessau) is a German philosopher and author, contributing to the philosophy of science, theory of time, aesthetics, ethics, and philosophical anthropology. He is the main pioneer of German ecocriticism, the study of the relationship between culture and the environment. He has been the director of the Institute for Practical Philosophy in Darmstadt since 2005. Despite being one of Germany's most acclaimed public intellectuals, very little of his work has so far been translated into English.

Utterly disappointed and betrayed! I was his student in grade school. I had lots of respect for this man but recently he sexually harassed me with his comment. Check on his FB fan page if you please!
Think again before you support this false literacy. It is so wrong to support such expat crook coming to my home country with special privilege
