1928-ൽ ആലപ്പുഴയിൽ ജനിച്ചു. നാലു വർഷത്തോളം സ്‌കൂളദ്ധ്യാപകൻ. പിന്നീട് വിവിധ ഗവ. കോളജുകളിൽ. എറണാകുളം മഹാരാജാസ് കോളജിൽനിന്ന് മലയാളം പ്രൊഫസറായി റിട്ടയർ ചെയ്തു. 1987-ൽ എറണാകുളത്തുനിന്ന് നിയമസഭയിലേക്ക് തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ടു. പുരോഗമന കലാസാഹിത്യസംഘത്തിന്റെ പ്രസിഡന്റായിരുന്നു. കേരള സാഹിത്യഅക്കാദമി പ്രസിഡന്റായും സേവനമനുഷ്ഠിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. ശ്രീനാരായണഗുരു, സഹോദരൻ കെ. അയ്യപ്പൻ, അവധാരണം, മൃത്യുഞ്ജയം കാവ്യജീവിതം, ഉന്നതാത്മാക്കളുടെ ജീവചരിത്രം, എം. ഗോവിന്ദൻ, എത്ര ശോകമയം ലോകം, യുക്തിവാദി എം.സി. ജോസഫ് തുടങ്ങിയവയാണ് മുഖ്യ കൃതികൾ. വയലാർ അവാർഡ്, കേരള സാഹിത്യഅക്കാദമി അവാർഡ്, അബുദാബി അവാർഡ്, പി.കെ. പരമേശ്വരൻനായർ സ്മാരകപുരസ്‌കാരം തുടങ്ങിയ ബഹുമതികൾ ലഭിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.

M. K. Sanu was an Indian Malayalam-language writer, critic, academic, biographer, journalist, orator, social activist and human rights activist. He authored at least 36 books.
Sanu was a permanent member of the International Body for Human Rights, as well as the founding member of the Mithram, a school for the mentally handicapped, in Mulanthuruthy, Ernakulam district, Kerala. He was a member of the award selection committee of the Vayalar Ramavarma Literary Award; however, he resigned in September 2019. In 2011, he won the Padmaprabha Literary Award.

Never knew anything much about Changampuzha's life. So, the book was interesting. At the same time, because I never knew anything about Changampuzha's life, can't rate this work objectively since it is the only one I have read.

The book is a bit dry towards the end, understandably since it deals with the theoretical side and analysis of poetry. But overall, showed a glimpse of the poet, and his life.

ഒരു കാലഘട്ടത്തെ മുഴുവൻ ത്രസിപ്പിച്ച കവി, പുതു തലമുറയ്ക്ക് തീർത്തും അപ്രസക്തമായി തീർന്ന കാലം. ആ കാലഘട്ടങ്ങളെ ബന്ധിപ്പിച്ചു സാനു മാഷ് തീർക്കുന്ന ഒരു കടത്തു തോണിയാണ് നക്ഷത്രങ്ങളുടെ സ്നേഹഭാജനം.
അത് കടന്നു പോകുന്നത് ശാന്തമായി ഒഴുകുന്ന പുഴയിലൂടെ അല്ലാ, ചങ്ങമ്പുഴയുടെ സംഭവബഹുലമായ ജീവിത യാത്രയിലൂടെ ആണെന്ന് മാത്രം. കടുത്ത വേദനകളുടെ ഉലച്ചിലും പ്രണയ സാഫല്യത്തിന്റെ പൂർണതയും നഷ്ടപ്രണയത്തിന്റെ നൈരാശ്യവും അദ്ദേഹം വരച്ചിട്ടു പോയത് പൊടി തട്ടി എടുത്തു പൂർണ ചിത്രം സമ്മാനിക്കുന്ന കരവിരുതാണ് സാനു മാഷ് ഒരുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നത്.
അന്നത്തെ സാഹിത്യ മേഖല എത്ര കണ്ടു ഇഴ ചേർന്ന് കിടന്നിരുന്നു എന്നും, അവർ സൂക്ഷിച്ച ആത്മബന്ധങ്ങളും അർത്ഥ ശൂന്യമായ മത്സര ബുദ്ധിയും എല്ലാം മിഴിവാർന്നു ഛായ കൂട്ടിൽ ഒപ്പിയെടുത്ത ഒരു കാലഘട്ടത്തിന്റെ കൂടെ കഥ പറയുന്ന മനോഹര സൃഷ്ടി ആണ് നക്ഷത്രങ്ങളുടെ സ്നേഹഭാജനം .

This biography of Changampuzha goes through the contradictions of the great poet. It is an attempt to examine the feelings that the poet expressed in his works: the yearning to be loved by the society but at detesting the hypocrisy of it the same time. The personal life of the poet with all its problems are unraveled here, some aspects of which are really problematic when we look at it from the present.
