It wasn't terrible, although I must admit the third star is more because there were some decent jokes that actually made me laugh and then of course a poster is always a lovely bonus.
I will never give a non-literary type book a very high rating, at any rate, it just doesn't seem right to me.
Unfortunately, this book had several shortcomings in actually a few different ways; most notably certain sections being downright incomplete or even inaccurate.
Overall, though, it got the job done, with good humor and a poster! And, as I believe guidebooks are more a formality at this point (at least with this game) what with all the in-game hints and then also YouTube... I must say I am actually more amused than upset with anything this particular book may lack, and I wonder if that wasn't their point all along.

As far as video game guides go, this could be a lot better. The Goddess Cubes are all messed up starting with #9 and many times there are items or secrets mentioned in the guide that don't appear in the game.

I'm also not a fan of their color-block maps. Other Zelda guides have had much more detailed maps in the past. The maps in this book look like the outlines of the rooms were drawn in Illustrator and then blocked in with solid colors. What the hell good is that?

The publisher's website lists some of the corrections, but really, is it that hard to double-test or edit the book prior to publication? Particularly in this day and age, when you can find extensive walk-thrus online for free. If you're going to make readers pay for a physical book to commemorate the game, you should at least make sure it's the best guide it can be.

I found this very helpful for completing all those side quests and finding some of the harder to find Goddess Cubes For beginners or people who are not so skilled at video game puzzles, this guide is great for help with the story line. It is increasingly helpful for 'hard core' gamers (such as myself) who are determined to complete all the side quests and collect every last heart piece.

This was a Christmas gift from my kids, along with the game. Many fun hours spent over the winter learning to fly that stupid bird, and have cleared it 2x now. Being OCD means I also cleared it with 99 of every item...Gorgeous, informative, fun.

I love these collector's editions, they're pretty and this one came with a cloth map.

Mostly, this is book is being used a test to see if I hooked up the facebook timeline thing correctly. ;)
