Seriously, I loved this. Wow. Honestly, the best spanking romance I've read thus far.

Word of caution - this really isn't an erotic romance, there's very little sexual contact - this is a spanking novel.

The Locket is an adorable time-travel spanking romance.

I think Maren Smith's "The Locket" may be my few favorite spanking novel.

Kylie Morgan is a young modern girl and is drawn to a nice older gentleman sitting on the park bench during her lunch hour. After telling Kylie all about his lovely wife, he takes out a locket to show Kylie a picture. As soon as Kylie has it, she is transported 60 years into the past and is about to meet a much younger version of this gentleman. It doesn't take long before she realizes that she is his wife from the picture in the locket.

About 6 minutes after they meet, Robert assumes Kylie is there to steal the apples out of his orchard and begins to wail away at poor Kylie's bottom. Once it becomes clear that Kylie has nowhere to go, Robert offers her a place to stay with him, subject to his rules. Kylie has an incredible time adhering to Robert's law and finds herself bottom up often enough.

I think my favorite thing about this book is Kylie as I can definitely relate to her. She is strong willed and independent, but allows Robert to take the lead in most things and usually willingly follows. That said, she is sassy and loves to keep Robert on his toes.

I loved this book! Maren Smith did an excellent job creating two complex characters and painting them in such a way that the reader simply can't resist falling in love with them. I absolutely recommend this book to any lover of spanking romance novels. You will not be disappointed!

This is a really good time travel novel that goes full circle with no unanswered questions in hte end leaving you to wonder what was really going on. The characters are well developed and plot is interesting as well as engaging that made for an easy and wonderful story. The two main characters are funny and the antics that happen are sometimes outragious but such a joot to read. Definitly a keeper.

Love, Love, Love this! Perhaps a new favorite. I have never been big on time travel, but this is just different- better. I love the time-period. I love the characters, how they interact. I love, the very in-depth way the author describes the spanking scenes. the only thing I didn't like was the way the story ended. Somehow, I didn't feel that it wrapped up. Just my humble opinion, not enough to stop me from re-reading, or recommending.

My favorite by Maren Smith, I've just recently re-read it. I like her DD stuff more than her Castle Series, even though that's good. This just seems more real, where the Castle is obviously fantasy. My preference, sorry. Possible spoiler but i'm not sure: The sweet time travel aspect of this, or whatever we call it, is awesome and I want to relive the aha moment over and over again.

I really loved this book. Kylie was such a great character, she was spunky, resourceful and caring. The interaction between her and Robert was very funny and sexy.
