Cypress is a free man once again.

But at what price?

As he flees to seek refuge with the Veritas, his mind strays again and again to the beautiful vampyre he left behind in New Alnwyck. The vampyre who should be his enemy. The one who set him free.

Haven Bathory. Held like a prisoner among his own kind. Used and distrusted. Determined to protect the human who stole his heart.

As the Veritas makes plans for a raid on the Dominion, new enemies emerge. Old friends seek to break newly forged bonds, threatening the tenuous ties that hang only by a thread.

Who is the real enemy? Who the real monster? Can Haven and Cy find their way back together when both sides seek to keep them apart?

Nyte Never-Ending focuses on the budding war between vampyres and humans and their quest for utter control over the other. Stuck in the middle of this war is vampyre Haven and vampyre slayer Cypress. Their relationship dynamic is the driving force within this series and I enjoyed getting to see more from them. I also really enjoyed getting more from the lore of this world and seeing Haven and Cy's relationship deepen alongside their devotion to one another.

Haven and Cy are forced into some rather difficult situations, which continue the everlasting darkness that permeates this series. The small glimmers of hope are far and few between, but the consistent longing and love Cy and Haven for one another give me hope throughout this dark and foreboding series.

Loved getting to see these characters again and look forward to the concluding installment.

"The truth was that Haven was complicated, tormented, compassionate, special. Beyond anything or anyone Cy had ever met before. Haven was worthy of protection."

I have been hanging out for this sequel to the amazing Nyte by Hellie Heat and Nyte Never-Ending did not disappoint!

Recall, this series is set in a dystopian world, where vampyres rule and humans have been forced into slavery, to be used and traded as 'meat sacks'. Cypress (Cy) is a vampyre hunter, born into slavery, who then escaped to fight amongst the Veritas - the human liberation movement - only to be caught and bound into slavery once again. Which is where he meets Haven Bathory, a vampyre, but one hiding a human soul amongst the darkness of the world he 'lives' in.

Nyte Never-Ending picks up where Nyte finished, with Cy back with the Veritas and Haven left behind to suffer his fate with the Dominion. Their struggle to be together against all the odds and against everything each side is fighting for, is played out beautifully in this instalment. Be prepared for betrayal, murder, dark twists, so much angst and eventually all the steam, as Cy and Haven finally give in to the pull between them.

"Because Cy was good. He was relentless and stubborn and vicious at times. But more than anything else, Cy was… home to Haven. He was a safe place, a warm feeling, a sanctuary amidst the darkness of this horrible world."

Nyte Never-Ending finishes on another (minor) cliffhanger as Hellie Heat puts all the pawns in place for the final instalment in the trilogy - and I can not wait!

Highly recommended, but be sure to read Nyte first!

This is everything I wanted and needed as a follow up to the first book.

Hellie has continued to nail this vampire vs human world. The world building and plot are stunning and I am even more in love with Cy and Haven than before.

Its got action, emotion, darkness and chemistry. To finally see Cy and Haven together more was perfect as well as hot.

I have been anticipating this book and it was worth the wait. Hellie knows her shit when it comes to writing historical themed romances with dark plots but with contemporary feels. I fucking loved it.

You do need to read the first Nyte book before this.

This book was frustrating in a good way, ugh!!!!

Every time they got together, they were pulled apart! And what Haven had to endure in the hands of that mother fucker?!!!

The frustration!!! People are stupid sometimes. Either way, I loved this. It is a solid follow-up, and I need the next one now.

Get away from the humans!!! Get your own life and space. Leave those ungrateful bitches behind!!!

This author writes the most thrilling and exquisite stories.
Part two was as exciting as the first book.

“A fair trade,” Cypress whispered. “You drink from me; I drink from you.”

Humanity and Vampires are fighting each other for domination. The exceptions are Cy and Haven.
Cy will do everything for Haven, but Haven doesn’t want him to.

No one is to trust, not even the ones they thought were on their side.
At times it was bloody and extremely violent. Keep that in mind.
It was an excellent story, sometimes it felt a bit repetitive. But the big picture was wonderfully done.

I'm so happy I got to read an ARC of this book. Seriously, it came will all the darkness, grit and gore I loved from the first one, but even more of Haven and Cypress, which was glorious. And man, did I love their chemistry. I also really appreciate the feeling of everyone having a dark stain, not just the people you recognize as monsters.

Super excited for the next one, too, for the change in scenery!

Hellie never disappoints!

I can't get enough of Cy and Haven. And certainly not all the action and plot twists that Helie throws into it. I liked the first book so much that it got me out of my book slump, but the second book really surpasses everything. I never expected that I could hate a character as much as Longfellow, which means he's a good villain. Not only that, but the story structure, gore, and action were top-notch! By the end of the book, I was sitting on the edge of my seat and could almost crush my ereader from the tension.

Love, LOVE this book!

First of all I love Hellie Heat.

Second Wow, just Wow!

This second book in the Vampyre Dominion series is good so so good! The story follows the events of Book 1, with Cy and Haven apart, and the plot just keeps getting better. More intrigue and some new nasty characters join the story.

Loved seeing their need for each other and I almost forgot how sassy Haven was and how rashed Cy was. I love them:) It's a slow burn but the tension and desire between them is OTT. You feel their need in these pages, and when they stole moments in the dark... damn!

Rant start:

Loved meeting Z, Jax (...................) and that Longfellow guy... and that fuclking flask.... GOD sorry about the spoiler but I absolutly hate him... almost as I hate Thorne...  and off course all the dictators and ruling races... disgusting...

Rant done!

This world is so dark and the analogy to what a piece of scum the human race is is spot-on. The writing perfect and the shenanigans and angst we go through is pure bliss!

Can't wait for book 3... more like need book 3 as i need air!

I have read the first book in the series and the only reason why I read the second was to see if Cypress has become more of the successful warrior he is described to be rather than the pathetic unwise man I witnessed on page. Unfortunately, to me he remained the same short-sighted, unadvisedly behaving person, who I simply cannot see survive and/or thrive at all in the world described by the author. His not admitting certain events out loud and not fighting harder and more intelligently to protect Haven only increased my disappointment with him. As a whole the villains are perfectly portrayed by the author but I am appreciative of a book based on the protagonists. In this case I don’t like Cypress, and with Haven I disagree on many levels, so this is definitely a no book for me.

Another installment in this trilogy and another chance to read more about Haven and Cypress. This paranormal vampire story set in a dystopian backdrop is so full of angst, twists and turns and betrayal. By the end, I want to wrap up both characters with everything they have been through especially my favorite vampire, Haven.

The story continues from the first book so you absolutely must read that first to understand what’s going on in this one. Cypress is back with Veritas and reunited with his very good friend, Jax. There are some new players from other vampire hunting groups that have joined Z and Veritas. In the time that Cypress has been away, there feels like a subtle shift in the dynamic and things feel off. Is it more than just the mistrust that the group feels with his escape from the Dominion and the questions they have regarding his relationship with Haven? I get the sense that Cypress doesn’t have the sure footing he once had with this group. HIs friendship with Jax feels strained from the beginning and there is this underlying current of emotion in their interactions.

And sweet, stoic Haven - the only bright spot for him is Cypress and I love that he begins to really lean into his feelings for him and open up to him. He’s held him far away for both of their protection, often using sarcasm and snark instead of letting any hint of emotion come through. He’s been a pawn, a tool, a possession for most of his existence at both the hands of the Dominion and Veritas and I want so much for his character. Do I want a HEA for both Cy and Haven - absolutely! But my biggest hope is that he comes into his own to take ownership of his existence and get some well-deserved revenge against certain characters.

And the author definitely knows how to write a terrific bad guy or two. Haven and Cy have enemies on both sides of the fence and how they navigate against these is something I am looking forward to reading. I have so many questions going into this next one that I am waiting with bated breath to see how this all turns out, for the vampires, for the humans and most importantly for Cy and Haven. I read a complimentary copy of this book and this is my honest and fair review.

“I won’t allow anyone else to touch you, vampyre. Not so long as I’m around to prevent it.”
“And if they look?” Haven breathed.
“Let them look and want, knowing they can’t have you. Knowing you’re mine.”
“Yours?”

It’s been a while since I've read the first installment of this series, but I felt that this book was way darker. Also, now that we don’t need details of how this dystopian world works the pace was definitely faster. The amount of suffering the MCs had to endure is equal to the one I wish some characters would receive in the future.
My list of humans and vampyres that needed to feel pain kept growing with every new chapter. At this point I'm only vouching for Cy and Haven, because I don’t trust anyone else. But I'm hoping this will change eventually.

description

You would think that at some point the torture Haven was enduring was going to be enough. Well no, it worsens every time. The strength he had amazed me. Now, I just wish for him and Cy to live in the middle of nowhere, only the two of them. The rest of the world be damned.
But not everything is chaotic. The few peaceful moments that they had, you could feel how Cy and Haven cherish them in their own stubborn way lol. And how, little by little they start recognizing some of their feelings.

This was a dark, twisted yet hopeful book. There’s still a long way before everything can be solved. Can’t wait to see how everything evolves in book 3!

OH MY GOODNESS!!! What an amazing second entry in this wonderful series by Hellie. I'm normally not into horror, but this series has me hooked.

The trilogy continues with Cypress returning to the Veritas in order to seek help to destroy the Dominion. He had to leave his lovely vampyre Haven behind and is going mad with worries for his safety. Upon returning to what he's always known as home and to his friends, he finds lots of things have changed during his absence and not all for the best.

Haven is still a pawn to his master Thorne, he's used, abused and has a real hard time to hold on to his sanity. The only thing keeping him sane is his feelings towards Cy, even though he can't believe why or how Cy could even like him.

This book is even more grittier than the first one, it's bloody, it's violent, there's on page torture and you'll need some nerves of steel not want to dive into the book to go and help out Cy and Haven. I was on the tip of my seat from the beginning and the only dissapoint I had with the book was that it ended to soon.

I really hope Hellie has already started on the last of the series, because I'm dying to find out how things will end for Cy and Haven. What I do already know is that they'll have to fight with everything they got, especially seeing the cliff hanger Hellie left us with.

Highly, hightly recommended!!!

I was lucky enough to get a chance to BETA read this beauty. I can't thank Hellie enough because I was enthralled in Cypress and Haven's forbidden love story and the savageness behind the walls of castle Alnwyck at the hands of the Vampyre Dominion. Imagine my eagerness to get a first-look at the fallout from the first installment. Boy, oh boy... Was it worth every agonising second awaiting their return? That's a resounding, hell yes it was!

The goings-on in Nyte seem like a drop in the ocean compared to Never-Ending's explosive return. All hell has broken loose and whether living or undead, everything is at stake (no pun intended) New Avalon is a battleground and a wager of war is underway.

As with the first portion of the Vampyre Dominion Trilogy, Never-Ending is an inferno of double-crossing, deadly desires and a battle of wills. Thorne Bathory is as callous as they come and will stop at nothing to reign over New Avalon's underworld. Cy and Haven's love is just as perilous as before and stoked in flames of lust. The finale is bound to be climactic & cut-throat in it's bloody horror. And edge of your seat, hell, i'm already on the edge of my seat. Sweet baby Jesus! how will I cope until the final installment? Somebody please give me strength

I need to repeat what I said in my review in the first book of this trilogy.
If you are a fan of mortal enemies to lovers/ very dark/dystopian/vampires trope this is a must read. Very well written, good and original world building, complex characters, plot with a lots of intrigue and many unexpected twists and turns. Development between the MC's is a slow burn and that's the way it should be when we're talking about enemies to lovers. There's no HEA, just a HFN at the end of this instalment but it left me craving for more. In this second book Cy and Haven are torn between their previous (horrible) experiences, loyalties and convictions that were instilled in them - and the possibility of another, all new world order, while they are battling just to stay alive , while threading the very muddy waters of political intrigue.
I had some serious hold ups about the world building though. Satellite phones in the world lit by candles and oil lamps for example. At the same time halogen lamps to grow crops? Not to mention that a single fire accident could kill vampire instantly. Where does all the silver and guns come from for Veritas when they are hiding underground? There's a lot more and that's the reason for four star rating.
Just make sure you read trigger warnings because this is not the book for the fainthearted.

As dark and vicious as the first book

And as in the first book, the seasoned vampyre hunter/slayer Cypress made some rash and stupid decisions. He rushed in without thought, with no heed to the consequences and he didn't trust his own judgment in respect of the people around him and their suspicious behaviour. I expected him to be smarter all round, but especially where Thorne was concerned, as he knew what the twisted and nasty vampyre was capable of.
Haven was still naïve and too trusting of others. He put a lot of stock in Gaius, his maker's sire, and didn't show any evidence of any fighting back against Thorne. I wanted him to grow a bit of a backbone but he just accepted his terrible lot and let everyone do what they wanted to him, all whilst pining for Cy.
It was also all still a bit pantomime villain-ish and I wanted to boo and hiss every time some of the characters appeared, but it did hold my attention so it can't be all bad. I did like Cy and Haven when they were together, though they spent a lot of time apart again, and at least their tentative affection for each other became more this time.
I will be reading the next one but I have to admit, I'm glad it's the last book in the trilogy, and I'm looking forward to seeing Thorne get his comeuppance and I hope it's very painful and utterly humiliating too.

4.5 stars - Thankfully, this story picks up right where book 1 left off. Cypress is on the run back to the humans with plans on joining the attach, freeing the vampire allies that have been labeled traitors (thanks to Cy) and set to be tried by the Vampyres, and hopefully freeing Haven as well.

Back at the castle, things are looking more and more grim with every page. Just when things seem to be going in the right direction for our poor characters who have been through so much already, the tables turn and it seems all hope is lost once again.Trouble has been brewing between Haven/Gaius and Thorne. It seems the humans were right on one level, you can just never trust a vampyre. Thorne has big plans and he is going to use Haven and anyone else he can to achieve them.

As I said, things start looking up, then the rug is ripped out from under you and more torture and horrific behavior ensues. I so badly want to see Haven and Cyprus succeed and finally find peace together, but it seems we are still a ways away from getting that. I sure hope we don’t have to wait too terribly long to get the next installment. Not sure these characters can last that long!

I adore the world-building here; the sharp edges and savagery of it all leave indelible marks on your mind even as the story unfolds and grows. When I finished the first book in the series, I thought there was no way the author could top the level of horror and bloodshed shown there. The narrative is saturated with blood red, flowing with sorrow and suffering at every turn. The characters' mental anguish is increasing in intensity, and it's easy to feel their pain. Cy rejoined the Veritas after paying a heavy price to be set free again. This time, though, he has opened his eyes wide and had his faith severely tested. This is not a love story, as I warned upon finishing the first book; the dichotomies of good and evil are muddied and distorted, and many of the characters' actions exist in the enormous gray region between them. There is no happy ending, only a HFN; this is an ongoing serial that gets under your skin and compels you to keep reading. I can't wait for the next chapter to find out how much more heartbreak is in store and whether any limits will be I received a copy of this book from Gay Romance Reviews, and this is my honest review.

I am truly in love with this world building - all the harsh angles and cruelty of it, are cutting deep lines in your memory while the plot is developing and expanding. After reading the first book, I didn’t think the author could up the violence and gore even more, but obviously I was wrong. Every little detail of the story is bathed in crimson, dripping in blood, radiating pain and misery. The emotional turmoil of the characters is palpable and the angst is steadily going up. After the enormous cost of being freed again, Cy is back with the Veritas. But this time his eyes are wide open and his beliefs are truly shaken. As I said after reading the first book this isn't a romance, the lines between black and white, good and evil are blurred and twisted, a lot of the choices and decisions made are in the vast grey area. There is no HEA, just a bloody HFN - it's an ongoing series that sinks its teeth into your psyche and urges you to go on. I am waiting impatiently the next installment to see how much more heartache is coming and will there be any boundaries left untouched.

As a lover of vampires and mm literature, this series is a dream come true. I read the first book a year ago and instantly fell in love with beautiful Haven. The way he's written is so vivid and tragic that I see every scene with him sharply in my mind. Then there's Cypress, who really stands out as a warm presence in the itehrwise cold world the author creates, so the romance is just perfect and I can see the chemistry between the leads. And the other star has to be Thorne! I feel bad saying it but I was constantly waiting for him to appear. He's a brilliantly, unapologetically cruel and somewhat aloof villian and it's really hard to figure out his motivations, or whether he really is just bored.

I love his possessiveness toward Haven and if one thing upset me in this book, it was how he treated him towards the end. I'm really hoping in the next book we get more of his obsession with Haven and trying to get his "progeny " back. Ultimately, the sequel is a perfect continuation of the first book and I'm now restarting my countdown to Book 3 🔥

The world building is just as amazing in this second book in this series as it was in the first one but the mystery of who is really on who’s side is what dominates this book. Hellie Heat does a marvelous job of keeping us guessing till the end of the volume and characters give us lots of surprises and you can never quite guarantee whether someone is on one side of this conflict or the other. Ms. Heat is also great at providing lots of what her surname is to pepper her story with. There is also plenty about how the humans survive and how the vampires keep their supplies which is a big part of why this author does so good at world building. She never falls into the trap of giving so much detail that it ends up feeling like a lecture. It’s more that she slips things into the background description or with someone talking about something that added up over the whole book to give me a feeling like I knew what this place was like. Number 3 coming soon I hope.

I got a copy of this book from GRR and this is my review honestly

This a solid follow-up to Nyte.

I usually find it frustrating in a sequel when they main two characters (especially lovers) spend too much time apart. I understand we need the tension etc, but for me personally, it annoys me. I found in Nyte, they spent just enough time apart.

In Nyte, we really see Cy struggle to choose between his old life and values against what he has learned since his time with Haven. Battling with standing for what he believes in while adapting those views to how he now feels towards vampires. The same can be said for Haven. The two have changed each other and they don't quite know where they fit anymore.

What they do know is that they fit together.

Well, Haven takes a little longer to maybe accept that...

I'm super invested in Cy and Haven, even more so after this sequel.

Wren needs a good shake and talking to.....Jax needs a good slap! With a brick, preferably ...

If you enjoyed book one, you will enjoy this one. I would say this book is stronger.

“He swallowed, licking his lips. ‘Well, you’re wrong. I do hate you. I hate everything about you.’ ‘I hate you too,’ Cypress whispered. ‘I hate you so much it hurts.’ Haven caught his breath. ‘You saved my life.”

OMG THAT WAS F_CKING BONKERS!! I think I have several new grey hairs. I really liked book one a lot, it was wonderful getting to know Cy & Haven but I’m in love with book two. That is not to say that this book didn’t rip my still beating heart out of my chest and stomp on it, because it did that. But I kinda liked it :)

You get even more beautiful moments with Cy & Haven, through everything these two had me smile. Their banter was on point. Also the villain in this book is so well written. He is vile but I loved reading his parts as much. Also I really enjoyed that almost all the characters in this book are pretty awful ppl with different shades of grey.

The struggle for Cy and Haven continues and all I can say is don't get too attached to characters and don't trust anyone. I found this an emotional, nerve wracking read that has left me with a long-lasting book hangover. I know we're promised an HEA at series end, but with this inventive author I cannot help but believe that Cy and/or Haven will be changed in some deep way to get there and that the HEA will look nothing like I expect. I have a list of characters from both books in this series that I'm hoping to see get exactly what is coming to them for their unspeakable villainy. As always with this author there are continual surprises, the darkness is pitch black and the light has to figure out where to draw the line to succeed but not become the dark. There are two books I am obsessed with getting the sequel to and this is one of them.

It took me a long time to get into this second book. But I was totally sucked in again towards the end. I think its because the first part of this book is the pause between major events while Cy and Haven are parted. Both working their respective areas trying to obtain the same goal. It was the slower part of the slow burn leading to the end of this book.

Last book was seeing how all the chess pieces were being moved around by Haven Maker. Here is where you see the first clash of that strategy, catching Haven and Cy in the middle. You are going to see Haven make a decision of who and what he wants to be. And I think my favorite, seeing the fables heros the humans look to aren't as heroic as believed.

Like book 1, you end on a decent cliff hanger. One that could have been avoided with different decisions, but I guess that will be what is resolved or explored in Book 3.

Sins of the Fathers

After the events in book one, Cy is finally free of the Dominion and sadistic vampyre Thorne Bathory, though leaving Haven behind has hurt him.
In this book, so much happens to move the story along of the burgeoning romance between a vampyre and a human + think Montagues and the Capulets with blood and teeth - plus the ongoing human rebellion.
New characters emerge who may, or may not, be trustworthy plus there is subterfuge, battles and torture.
Added to this is an ongoing theme of love for the father, or the creator, mixed with hate and fear..a sort of Frankenstein's creature situation.
It's visceral, violent, passionate, sexy and emotional.
Definitely leaves the reader on the hook for part three and the finale.

Thank you to Hellie for giving me this ARC. I have been anticipating this release for months since I'd finished book one and it was entirely worth the wait. Hellie has again captivated me with her world and characters. I had so many emotions wash through me while reading this, the constant one being my unwavering love for Cy and Haven. I want to hold them and protect them forever!!

Nyte Neverendings sharp take on vampire and human politics is fantastic and keeps me glued to every page. I love the tension, especially the brutality of the villains! They are incredibly written and effective at making me feel on edge!

This second book in the series was just as great as the first! As I said before these vampires do not sparkle but there are some serious sparks at times 😉 this is a trilogy so of course there’s a cliffhanger and that’s why I usually wait until all three books are out to read this kind of series but I just couldn’t wait with this one! I loved the first book and had to see what would happen next ASAP. The characters and world building in this series is top notch and I continue to be impressed by this new to me author. I hope we get more from this world after this series is over.
