Assigned for Bioethics 4300. I would have never read this book otherwise. Probably need to sit on it for a few weeks, but HTE is undeniably a brilliant thinker and writer.
Going to read Kurtz's defense of secular humanism as a counterbalance, but the arguments HTE gives here seem insurmountable. There is some use for secular humanism in bioethics but it leaves much to be desired.
