Dark secrets. A mysterious past. And an unforgettable passion. After months in a coma, music promoter Melissa Linklater wakes up to a world she doesn't remember. She's shocked to discover she's married - to Phil Paris, the intensely handsome drummer of world-famous band The Sidhe - and has a baby daughter. She has lost the memory of the last eight years of her life. Phil, their baby and his bandmates are all strangers. Phil is devastated that Mel can't remember her years with him. He needs her to remember - because he is nothing without his wife. Fame and wealth, even his music, no longer bring him joy. The only things that matter are Mel and their baby. He throws all he is into helping Mel remember, but instead of recovering memories of them, she starts to remember a secret past and a web of lies that threatens to destroy everything she knew about herself. Someone else is also after those secrets. As her mysterious stalker escalates from anonymous phone calls to break-ins and physical threats, the police and her doctors don't believe her - but Phil does. While she still can't remember anything about her life with him, she does feel things for him - passionate, needful things that make her want to trust him with her darkest secrets. Will sharing those secrets make them closer or bring more danger to their door?
Leisl Leighton is a tall red head with an overly large imagination. As a child, she identified strongly with Anne of Green Gables, and like Anne, is a voracious reader and born performer. It came as no surprise when she went on to a career as a performer, script writer, script doctor, stage manager and musical director for cabaret and theatre restaurants.
After starting a family, Leisl stopped performing and began writing the stories plaguing her dreams. She is addicted to sci-fi and romance books and DVDs, she sometimes sings in a choir, loves to ski and horse ride, and was President of Romance Writers of Australia from 2014–2017. When she’s not writing, she helps other writers make their manuscripts shine.

I am loving this series, the setting is fabulous and the characters are so good and very easy to be friends with, the second book brings us Melissa’s story after being badly hurt in a car accident in the first book, Mel has now woken from a coma, she has lost months of her life and her memory of the last eight years, which means she doesn’t remember her marriage to drummer Phil and the birth of her daughter or any of the band members or close friends, but there are some memories from her childhood that are coming to light and they paint a dark picture of her childhood.
Phil is beyond devastated when Mel wakes up with no memory of him and their daughter, but he swears to do what he can to help bring them back, but the memories and dreams she is having are extremely scary and when there are break ins and mysterious phone calls it appears Mel has a stalker, there have also been the disappearance of friends and a couple of bodies have been discovered and even worse there seems to be a link between Mel’s past and the bodies.
Even though Mel cannot remember her marriage to Phil she somehow can feel the passion they shared and the more time they are together the more it grows, but there are many dark secrets from her past and people are coming for Mel. Will Phil and the other people at Stormhaven be able to keep Mel safe and will Mel get her memory back?
This is another fabulous story in this series and I thoroughly enjoyed it, the romance and the suspense pulled together to have me turning the pages, I do highly recommend this book and the series to any lover of romantic suspense, I also am hoping that Craig gets his story.
My thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for my copy to read and review.

She experienced shock after shock from having a husband who is the drummer of a famous band and a beautiful baby daughter. Melissa Linklater started to have questions about her past, and her husband, Phil, was the only one who believed her. Did the accident tricker something from the past, or was her brain playing tricks on her? The readers of The Devil Inside will continue to follow Melissa Linklater to discover what happens.
The Devil Inside is a fantastic addition to Leisl Leighton's excellent series. After enjoying the first book in this series, I was looking forward to reading this book, and it did not disappoint. I engage with the story and the characters from the first page. I love Leisl Leighton's portrayal of her characters and how they intertwine throughout this book. The Devil Inside was well-written and researched by Leisl Leighton. I like Leisl Leighton's description of the settings of The Devil Inside, which allowed me to imagine being part of the book's plot.
The readers of The Devil Inside will understand the consequences of stress can affect your self-confidence. Also, the readers of The Devil Inside will learn about some of the problems mothers can have when breastfeeding their parents.
